Chapter 69

"Jacob, what the hell happened?" Timothy asked in a very confused tone as he helped him to his feet. There was no way that a technique that was in Jacob's clan, could cause such explosive strength to come from only an Elementary level five Body Refinement cultivator no matter how much Timothy thought about it. However, not a single demon beast or human expert was in the area besides them!

"Well, now you know why my clan has existed for so many years. The Patriarch when he handed down this technique to me, told me something like because of my special aura and physique, I was the only one in the new generation able to even think about using the technique. I would let you learn it as well, but I promised him that I would not share it with anyone outside of the clan." Jacob told Timothy as he began to laugh uncontrollably.

"Do not worry my disciple, it may have looked like a strong technique, but if you look closely at Jacob, you would be able to see that he had spent almost all of the Qi in his body to execute it only once and his right hand looks to be slightly damaged. There are countless techniques for both Energy and Body Refinement experts, but the best techniques have the similar amount of destructive power while not acting as such a bad double edged sword." Master Sei told Timothy.

If Timothy coveted such techniques, his master had at least two hundred of such techniques off the top of his head. However, he may have had less high leveled techniques, but just one of them was worth learning compared to those two hundred low leveled techniques. Hearing Master Sei's explanation, Timothy began to think about something to himself.

"Hey Jacob, it looks like that attack took quite a bit out of you, so try to only use it as a last resort move in the future if nothing else could defeat your opponent and you are in danger of dying. Wrap your right hand in this medical cloth so that it could start healing. That technique is strong, but it should not be used so casually in the future because of the backlash it causes you." Timothy bluntly told Jacob as the two entered into the hole.

"Yeah, well at least you know how capable I could be on my own, so do not underestimate me!" Jacob said in agreement as he followed Timothy into the hole. He may have been an Elementary level five Body Refinement cultivator, but it still seemed that in a one on one fight, Timothy could defeat him which is why he felt the need to make such a scene in the first place.

Before starting a small fire with some wood, Timothy handed Jacob a big piece of medical cloth. It was clear that in about three days, Jacob's right hand would be recovered completely, but the medical cloth would at least allow him to continue to use it without any worries or issues in battle. As the two began eating their dinner, Jacob asked Timothy about his time in Mist City.

Timothy felt like telling the long story to Jacob would allow time to pass until it was time for them to fall asleep. As he told Jacob everything, he asked many questions. It was only until he told Jacob that George had decided to bring him along to the Maroon Auction House, that Jacob had finally fallen asleep. Timothy did not mind, because he actually wanted to cultivate through the night since it looked fairly peaceful.

In his storage ring, Timothy had several low tier barriers which would keep out level one demon beasts from entering the hole. Each barrier actually came with five different runes which would allow someone to enter and exit as they pleased. Timothy felt that with the barriers in his possession, that all he had to worry about would be sensing level two and above demon beasts. According to the map, the area they were in only had level one demon beasts so there was now nothing to worry about.

Remaining in a barrier for an entire year was obviously not what he wanted to do, so Timothy decided that every day, him and Jacob would slowly head out to find and kill at least one demon beast before returning. It would not be difficult for the two to reach the other side of the mountain, which according to the map was where groups of demon beasts were. So as long as they did it in the morning, during the rest of the day, they could head back and work on cultivating.

What the two needed the most, was a proper schedule, and having so many barriers to protect their new little home, allowed them the ability to make their own plans instead of them being dictated by what was around them like the demon beasts. And so throughout the night, Timothy still continued to keep watch just in case a level two demon beast were to appear out of the blue as he cultivated.

Due to him having the Bronze Body Physique, Timothy's training went somewhat faster compared to those without such a rare physique. What was also good about having a high earth elemental affinity, was that the earth element could assist with both types of cultivating. The earth element was known to be both very offensive as well as defensive which made it the most well rounded of all the elements.

The wind element specialized in speed, while the fire element specialized in offense but for a large crowd. The water element was the most defensive based element while it allowed the expert to use illusions and the lightning element was considered one of the strongest single target offensive elements. There were also the light and darkness elements, but neither had a true specialty. The darkness element assisted in things like assassination, while the light element could be used offensively, but could also be used to heal others.

Most of the organizations that specialized in assassinating others for a reward, would usually only want cultivators of the darkness element. If they were lacking in numbers, this would of course be ignored slightly, but the darkness element just had many techniques that could finish a job with less difficulties and things to worry about. While most of the more peace loving organizations like the Relic Church worked hard to recruit those of the light element, but again not in all circumstances.
