Chapter 76

"Those with such an aura, usually do not stop their fighting until all of their enemies are eliminated or have fled. And knowing what I know about many of the demon beasts he chose to battle with, they would not go down without a fight, similar to the ones you had for opponents today. Therefore, he was lost in what his aura was telling him, in a zombie like state where nothing but him showcasing his total dominance existed."

"One with the Aura of Slaughter while the other with the Aura of the King, if you two continue traveling together, it will be very hard for you both to be outmatched while working together to defeat and destroy your enemies. I just hope that one day you will be able to control your Aura of Slaughter, because over time, you could earn quite a bit just by entering battlefields rather than only using that ability of yours."

Hearing his master's words made him feel slightly better as he continued to think back to that memory he saw of his master's. For so many powerful experts to listen to his master's orders without hesitating, made Timothy realize more and more just how capable his master was and how lucky he was to have him constantly by his side in order to help him grow and flourish!

As much as he wanted to go back to fight several more opponents, Timothy decided to instead watch over Jacob as he slept and continued to heal. He felt that until Jacob was able to fight again at his full power, that it would be better to wait for him to be able to kill the remainder of the demon beasts in the eastern area while he focused on battling those in the western area and perfecting his own fighting style.

It would have been nice to clear the demon beasts out right away, but Timothy wanted to take full advantage of the situation he was currently in. Not only did he have a comfortable bed and good opponents to face, but, he was able to also cultivate on his off time while having enough food to last him for a very long period of time.

He and Jacob both were in not a very ideal set of circumstances when it came to basic survival to a point, but they were able to take full advantage of having their backs against the wall and coming out much more capable compared to the moment they had entered into the Monster's Wasteland.

Just the thought of how much he would be able to grow before him and Jacob finally felt ready to enter into the center region of the Monster's Wasteland, caused Timothy to feel a sense of empowerment which he did not even feel in Mist City. And so, just as it had begun, time passed by quickly as the two continued like this for a total of six months since they had first entered.

"Why do you always have to use special techniques against me? Just wait until we reach Stone Kingdom and I could use my portion of winnings to purchase some special techniques of my own. Then, we will have another match and see which of us is the strongest!"

Right outside of a small crater in a mountain stood two brothers. One was very tall and muscular and had a small beard growing on his face, while the other was slightly smaller and less muscular, but had long light brown hair. These two were of course Timothy and Jacob and they were almost unrecognizable compared to six months earlier when they had entered into the Monster's Wasteland.

Jacob's training had gone very smoothly and thanks to Timothy's direction, Jacob was now an Elementary level eight Body Refinement cultivator and an Elementary level three Energy Refinement cultivator. And it turned out that he had a high elemental affinity with the fire element. However, compared to Timothy's growth, Jacob could only smile bitterly.

During these past six months, Timothy became an Elementary level seven Body Refinement cultivator and an Elementary level seven Energy Refinement cultivator. Jacob had still been able to outclass him concerning Body Refinement, but Timothy through his master's teachings learned his first earth elemental technique. Concentrating his energy into his fist, he was able to turn his fist into a solid rock form and was able to even block Jacob's ax at full power with it!

This of course made Jacob feel bitter because he did not have any fire element techniques to try to learn and use against Timothy. However, they were now sparring against each other every day, because there were only the two level two demon beasts that were in the area around them. They had wished that others would migrate over from the center region, but there were none in sight.

After pondering over it for an entire three weeks, both Timothy and Jacob felt that they were ready to test their luck and teamwork by working together to kill one of the two level two demon beasts. The one they chose to face off against first, was an alligator type demon beast. The reason was, although it looked harder to kill, the gorilla type demon beast was always sleeping and most likely would not come to the aid of the other one out of sheer laziness.

Timothy and Jacob would always joke around with how they envied seeing a demon beast being so carefree, that it could sleep all day without any worries of being killed. On top of growing in combat experience and cultivation, both Timothy and Jacob were able to slightly touch using their auras in battle. They were still unable to fully tap into their auras, but Master Sei told Timothy that they would not be able to until they reached at least the Master stage of cultivation.
