Chapter 77

"So Jacob, are you ready to face off against that strong looking fellow tomorrow?" Timothy asked him as he helped him off of the ground. The two had just gotten done sparring, and because he unfairly used his earth fist technique, Jacob was pushed back and forced onto the ground on his back. "I could always try to face it alone if you are still scared of it."

"I know that you think you are cool and the only one that the heavens have blessed, but remember that I still refuse to bow down to you!" Jacob grumpily replied before grabbing Timothy's head in a headlock and rubbing his head. "You might own the company, but when it is time to recruit, do not blame me for building a large force of my own where they will only listen and represent me instead of you!"

As he continued to grow in age and experience, the personality traits of the Aura of the King began to slowly blossom and take over Jacob. Although he still respected Timothy as his equal, he brought up that he wanted to only be named his second in command but to be the face of the company. Timothy actually agreed to the request immediately, because it would allow him to still remain hidden and able to do what he needed without anyone watching him too closely.

He began experimenting more during this time with his cloning ability and found something out which was very interesting. His ability allowed him to clone any item he wished, but there was a difference between cloning a solid item and a liquid item! This meant that he could do similarly to what alchemists were able to create using recipes, however, he was able to make endless bottles of said recipes.

Unfortunately, he had no elixirs left that would allow the cultivator to drink and instantly grow in strength concerning cultivation, otherwise, he would have grown even more during these past six months as well as Jacob. Master Sei told him when he realized this sub trait of his ability, that he should use it very rarely and not to overdo it on consuming so many elixirs either.

This was something that many of the world's strongest powers had concerning their direct descendants as well. If a cultivator only relied on using elixirs and pills in order to cultivate to the next level, they would still be able to dominate over those who are an entire stage lower, but when it came to those of the same stage, they would always fall short. Therefore, as much as direct descendants of these major powers wanted to, they could not push them forward with such methods.

This did not mean that such methods were not used, it just meant that the powers knew much better than just handing them over to their younger generation. If needed, they would be supplied accordingly, but it would be on a reward based system so that they could remain a dominant power by the time the generation took over day to day operations while the older generation retired or counselled them.

Sitting down to eat a nice lunch, Timothy and Jacob began coming up with a strategy in order to take down the level two demon beast without either of them sustaining severe injuries or dying in the process. The difficult part they were having was that neither had a mid range type of an attack, both were very much close range fighters. Sure Master Sei might have been able to help Timothy by giving a fire technique to Jacob, but Jacob had a rather poor time even using his energy in battle.

Therefore, the two needed to somehow surround the demon beast, locate its weak spot, and then one of the two could be responsible for making the beast lose its concentration and focus while the other of the two could land a critical and deadly hit onto the demon beast, causing it to be their win by the end of the battle. Timothy felt that it would be faster for him to land the battle winning hit, but he had slightly more experience with dodging attacks compared to Jacob.

The two continued to talk it out, because technically they felt that ending the battle for their win would be the most efficient and would allow them to both survive. However, at the same time, putting Jacob in more danger would not be very good if something were to go wrong. The two after a while of going back and forth decided that they would decide on things while in battle, because Jacob could always communicate to Timothy that he was not confident with pulling the demon beast away long enough for Timothy to land the winning blow.

With their plans finalized, the two finished eating and began cultivating. Jacob was now much more focused on raising his cultivation level as an Energy Refinement expert, because he saw how much stronger Timothy was when he combined his battle Qi and energy in battle as well as doing the same even while using an elemental technique.

Over the past six months, Jacob and Timothy became extremely close as they both saw many fruits to their labor. Jacob was told countless times that if he wanted to return back to Bark Kingdom, that Timothy would allow him to without any complaints. However, after a while, Timothy felt weird with the idea of Jacob leaving his side to return home without him while Jacob had similar thoughts.

"Tomorrow will dictate how the future will look for the both of you my disciple. You must be prepared for anything that could occur and must be able to react accordingly. Survival is what is most important, not winning the battle and you must keep this in your mind throughout." Master Sei told Timothy as he watched him cultivate.

Master Sei was rather pleased with Timothy's growth over this period of time including Jacob's growth as well. It was still not a good idea for Timothy to share the existence of his master to Jacob, but when the time was right, Master Sei told Timothy that he would not mind taking Jacob on as a disciple as well. Their cultivation levels did increase by quite a bit, but the biggest growth that the two experienced were combat based.
