Chapter 80

He also chose to start using a pole as a weapon, because out of all the different weapons he was in possession of, there was only a single weapon that was a ranked weapon and that was in fact a pole with many inscription markings on it. Master Sei explained to Timothy that the inscription markings on the pole symbolized the destruction element which would further enhance his attack power while using it.

The most common of elements were earth, water, fire, lightning, wind, darkness, and light. However, there were a total of three very specialized elements that were normally only found in roughly one out of one million cultivators and those three elements were life, death, and destruction. The life element specialized in the soul, the death element specialized in death and the undead, while destruction was simply a specialization that specialized in destruction.

If one were to walk the path of an inscription master, they did not necessarily need to be a very strong Energy Refinement expert, but they needed to understand the element they were making markings for on a weapon or equipment enough for it to power up said weapon or equipment. Many of the most ordinary of cultivators would walk the path of an inscription master, because it took less effort compared to trying to reach immortality. Still, each piece of weapon or equipment that had inscription markings on it, was considered to be ideal to use and would cost much more.

With all of his preparations now complete, Timothy began to finally make his way to the center area of the Monster's Wasteland. He packed everything within the cave into his storage ring so that he would have an easier time setting things up when he needed to and began his trip. Thanks to his and Jacob's hard work, the beginning of this trip would be much faster due to there being no demon beasts in sight for many miles other than the one that did not give him any trouble.

Confidence filled his mind and soul as he finally made it far enough away from the mountain range to no longer visibly see it with a naked eye. However, what he did see now, were three level one demon beasts grouped rather close together a short distance away from him. He wanted to test his strength since it had been many months since he was able to fight against a level one demon beast, and he was much stronger now than he was when he had a while ago.

The three level one demon beasts seemed friendly with one another and they were all different ordinary bloodline demon beasts. The peacefulness they shared over countless years however, was now being interrupted by Timothy as he approached them at his full speed. Eager to protect their territory, the three demon beasts began to pounce over to his location together in a very well established synchronized way.

Withdrawing the pole from his storage ring and circulating his energy to fully equip himself with his earth armor, Timothy only increased his speed even more as he was finally face to face with the demon beast that was closest to him. "If you want to play with me that bad, I suppose I can give the heavens and my master a good show!" Timothy shouted as he lifted the pole above his head before swinging it directly towards the demon beast's head.

The battle did begin very quickly, but it also ended very quickly soon after. With utilizing the destruction element markings on his weapon coupled with his strength as a Body Refinement expert, Timothy was able to defeat all three demon beasts in the span of five blows! The first one that charged him died in a single hit, while the other two took a more defensive stance and were slightly harder to kill.

Timothy was still not confident that he could take down a level two demon beast even with his new combat tactics with someone like Jacob helping him, but at the moment it seemed that level one demon beasts were now rather easy for him to deal with. Excitement filled him up as his eyes shone just from the thought of coming this far along in his training to finally make such an accomplishment.

It was rather normal for an ordinary low leveled Intermediate stage cultivator to have a fairly easy time killing an ordinary level one demon beast depending on the circumstances. However, that was still a stage that was out of reach for Timothy, but thanks to him being a dual cultivator, such issues were not as negative as it would seem. This also meant that Timothy might be lucky enough to win, if he were to face an ordinary low leveled Intermediate stage cultivator if the situation called for it.

Unfortunately, this positive outlook would be taking a back seat, because after advancing for one more hour, Timothy found himself caught in the middle of over twelve hungry looking ordinary level one demon beasts. Blood splattered, bones were broken, and terrible screaming and shrieking could be heard from the battle as Timothy was able to kill all of them after twenty minutes of struggling.

Since there were so many opponents, Timothy was unable to use all of his strength in every attack he launched. Therefore, it was easier for the demon beasts to take turns launching their own attacks against him to overwhelm him with their numbers, until finally the demon beasts were also running out of stamina, which allowed Timothy to counter attack quickly and effectively.

"Not bad my disciple, although you most likely took much more damage from the battle that you would have wanted to. But as I thought, those twelve demon beasts were the only ones located in this area and after exploring myself, I could not find any more in the area. You should really take at least an hour to recover and rest, maybe even eat a meal before moving forward." Master Sei told Timothy with a smile on his face. If Timothy was not forced to travel through the Monster's Wasteland, he would not have grown this much in such a small period of time.
