Chapter 119

With their reinforcements now present and fighting, Tyler's uncle was able to move more freely as the others slowly engaged with the seven experts he was holding off. This gave him the ability to land one hit death blows onto the enemies one by one. Seeing how the scene had completely changed into his opponent's favor, Freddy withdrew the remainder of his forces from the area in an attempt to save himself.

Freddy initially only entered into the flag formation with only two assassins from the Salamander Assassin House while three others remained outside of the formation in order to serve as potential backup. Which meant that the majority of the experts who were now being slaughtered, were all those who were either from his clan, or those he hired when arriving outside of the small world. This was enough to anger him greatly, but it was a worthy loss since he was able to kill off a large portion of Tyler's group in the process.

Truth be told, Tyler's group had weaker cultivators but made up for it with their decent standings within the Stone Kingdom. On Freddy's side, he chose to take in much stronger cultivators, but said cultivators did not have any background worth talking about. Therefore, for every death that occurred on Tyler's side, it served as a much harder hit compared to every death that occurred on Freddy's side.

The biggest loss that he felt was that he would have to keep the flag formation present in order for him and his group to escape with those who remained alive. Therefore, once they were able to break through the formation, Tyler's group would have also earned a flag formation which was considered to be a little pricey. If it were not for him to potentially receive the ancestor's inheritance, Freddy would have just led his group back into the outside world and would just count their true losses. Luckily for him, Tyler's group was not the first, they were able to slaughter quite a few competitors and received quite a bit of treasure.

However, Tyler's group had different plans, as all of the experts including his uncle chased after them, not wanting anyone to get out alive after dealing such a devastating blow to them. Timothy felt like he wanted to do the same, but Tyler looked to be incredibly exhausted from pouring all of his strength into the fireballs from earlier. And so, Timothy helped carry Tyler forward with him as the rest of the group savagely tried to slaughter the remainder of their enemies.

"You should not be upset, losses will occur when one is in the outside world. Just leave it to your uncle and the rest of them to bring back loads of treasures and the head of that youth from the Winged Spiders clan." Timothy told Tyler in a comforting type of way. They may have been able to save more lives if they entered into the flag formation together, but it was still the right move to split up.

"That may be true, but one day you will understand that when others swear loyalty to you and your cause, that it is your responsibility to make sure that they live fulfilling lives while serving you and your agenda. Not a single person in the military likes generals who do not care about the foot soldiers, but everyone honors and respects the generals who choose to fight alongside them in order to accomplish their goals."

"There will always be those who give their lives in battle, but it changes your opinion when they are attached to you. Remember more than anything else, that those who die while under your care, would be considered your responsibility. Some of the most feared individuals in this world are not those who hold the most personal strength, but rather, those who would kill even immortals in retaliation for a death of their own without hesitation." Tyler told Timothy as he sat down on a comfortable looking small boulder.

Once Timothy decided to join him, the small boulder began to emit a faint light once he also sat down on top of it. The two continued talking, as the flag formation began to break apart, signalling to them that Tyler's uncle was able to take it down finally after a few minutes had gone by. As the two were about to stand up, the small boulder unleashed a stronger glow, but Timothy and Tyler were still oblivious to it.

Tyler's uncle appeared in eye sight and shouted out to the two, but they were unable to hear him. They only saw the very concerned expression on his face as the others behind him were doing the same thing while heading in their direction. "I wonder what they are trying to tell us? I hope that Freddy did not ha-" before Tyler was able to finish his sentence, the small boulder next to the two exploded as they were swept into a strange place from the impact.

"Damn it, we were too late!" Tyler's uncle said as the strange location's entrance closed before he was able to head in with the two. Those still with the uncle also had depressed looks on their faces because they saw that after exiting the flag formation, was a deadend which meant that there must have been some other way towards the inner area of the small world. Knowing that the Ancestor's Tomb would cease to exist once someone inherited the secret within, all they could do was pray to the heavens for their safety as they would wait outside of the small world.

For both Timothy and Tyler to have entered into the strange location, meant that they were fated to truly compete for the ancestor's inheritance and were chosen respectfully. This also meant that those present could no longer compete for the inheritance and could only wait for both of their returns in the outside world. Therefore, Tyler's uncle became the temporary leader of the group as he led everyone out of the small world so that they could make camp.
