When the small boulder exploded, both Tyler and Timothy were knocked unconscious. Even three hours later, they were still within the small space while just finally waking up. Timothy was the first to awaken as he looked around the somewhat dark space that he and Tyler were now in. He did not want to move if he did not have to, and waited a few minutes before waking Tyler up as well so that they could try to figure out where they were.
Timothy did not remember what had happened, but Tyler did as the two discussed sitting on the small boulder to rest before finding themselves here. Tyler took out a strange looking book as he allowed a small fireball to float above his head in order to lighten up the small and cramped space. "Ah, here it is! It says here that once chosen by the fallen ancestor's intent to compete for its inheritance, an even smaller space within the small world of an Ancestor's Tomb will open up and drag those who are worthy within."
After reading it out loud so Timothy could also understand, their faces brightened up. In other words, since the two were now inside and it was just the two of them, it meant that only they were worthy according to the fallen ancestor's intent. Every immortal had a particular intent which formed its own intelligence over time so when the immortal would die in battle, it could take charge to make sure that only those that the immortal would have approved of themselves, would inherit their life work.
"We actually need to work much harder at this point, because it also says that during the trials for the inheritance, we may not be able to leave until one of us wins everything and is bestowed the inheritance. This should not be too difficult because I have quite a bit of food with me in my storage ring, that I have dedicated to such a thing and I am sure you properly prepared yourself as well." Tyler told Timothy with some visible sweat on his forehead.
"If you need help during the trials, I am here for you. Like I told you before, I am not interested in the inheritance, so it will be up to you to pass each trial so that we will not be stuck here for too long. I like you and all, but since things have progressed this far, we should end things as quickly as we can. I am sure that your uncle and the rest of the group are worried about us since you needed a strange book in your possession to explain what had happened."
Since coming here, TImothy did make some gains such as learning how to lead others more properly, gained a bit of wealth, and even hired four additional experts for his Golden Finger Merchant Group. There was nothing more that he could really have asked for on a single trip in the outside world, and was more than pleased with his gains and did not want to act too greedy. Still, he wanted to speak to Master Sei to ask his master how he felt about everything he had chosen to do. Unfortunately, Master Sei had to remain hidden so the ancestor's intent would not detect him and possibly cause Timothy and the others trouble.
Within the Ancestor's Tomb, the fallen immortal's intent ruled over the entirety of the space and could do anything it wished whether to aid or to crush others. This was also why the highest stage of a cultivator that was allowed to enter into this particular Ancestor's Tomb was only of the Master stage of cultivation. This was also the case so that there would not be anyone who could threaten the intent or would be powerful enough to destroy the space.
And so, with no other options, both Timothy and Tyler looked through their storage rings and both withdrew the best weapon they had as well as equipment so that they could be fully prepared for any kind of trials that they would have to take part in. Little did they know, the trials within this particular Ancestor's Tomb were considered to be of much higher difficulty compared to others of its kind that existed around the world and universe.
The reason for this, was because before dying in the major battle that shook the world to its core, the immortal properly arranged for this Ancestor's Tomb and spent many years focused on building the intent that would be safe guarding the inheritance within. This was not something that many immortals chose to do, because once one reached the proper stage of cultivation to become an immortal, there was no desire to rush such things.
As they continued walking down a long and somewhat dark corridor, the two found themselves before a wooden door that led into another area of the small space. After glancing over at each other, Tyler was the first to act and turned the handle on the door in order to open it. As he swung the door open in a very slow manner, the space they were trapped in, suddenly changed to a strange looking world. The world was full of grass but in the middle of it, sat a small lake sized pool of water.
The entire area looked very peaceful as both Timothy and Tyler stepped forward towards the lake. They were unsure what to expect, but it seemed like this area reminded them of how calm the world could be. Before they were able to reach the lake, they both heard someone or something taking a deep breath in and out. Startled, Timothy and Tyler both turned around as they both saw an ancient and lofty looking figure.
"It seems that after many years, you two are the best that this so-called Stone Kingdom has to offer. Back in my Heavenly Sword Kingdom, you both would be equivalent to the bottom of the barrel given your weak cultivation levels for your ages. I suppose great kingdoms all eventually fall and fade away within history, only to be remembered and revered by those who come after."
