"So how did it go?"

Bernadette smiled and looked at him before answering, "It went well. I even received another commendation from the academy."

Bryan nodded. They were strolling along the street since they had little to do at the station. It was 11 a.m. and the weather was a bit warm and it was a perfect time for a walk.

"That's good to know," he said simply.

"Now let's go here," she grabbed his hand pulled him along and they turned the corner into a path that was lined with trees on both side. It was beautiful and quiet and gave one a sense of serenity.

"Usually I walk around this place just to clear my mind."

"You sure love to walk a lot…" Bryan said but followed her anyway.

She chuckled and said, "It's a habit, but partly because when I grew up I only learned how to drive but after my father and I fought, I never got a car and I never got to drive so I started to walk."

"So it isn't a choice like you said?"
