The arrival of Gabriel
After talking and getting into that girl I decided to go home while laughing in a disguised way, but my laughter was interrupted by the call from John who asked me if I had anything to do with the coffee accident, to the east he gave me a slight lecture where I should be more cautious; although in spite of the accident she did not get angry and agreed to go tomorrow for them, but as he would go with me and the other boys for Gabriel he would do all that at once.
I only partly laughed and told him not to be lazy, besides I had some copies on his desk and I only had to take out the copies, sign and seal, so after hanging up I decided to call the rest of the boys, where we had agreed on a time and place to go.
So I prepared a nice dinner and from there I put the alarm on the cell phone for 6:30 am, having the place to pick up the kids and from there go to the airport for Gabriel, as it had been scheduled I woke up a little before the hour so I could eat calmly and from there go out to find the group.
I took a shortcut to the main road and from there I waited for Nestor, John and Hector as Alexis and Lucas had arrived on time, while we were catching up we decided to have a coffee and wait for the rest.
After 10 minutes John arrived with Nestor and Hector announced that we would meet there because he had a setback, deep down I knew it was a lie but I decided to ignore that and continue to the airport, as John had said after 10 minutes of arriving at the airport Hector arrived with a small banner that said "welcome back Gabo", while the kids were laughing at his ideas I just said
Me: hey, it's not like it's been forty years, it's only been eight years.
The kids: -laughter-
John: You're acting like a child too.
Hector: I don't care, you'll see how he likes it... Besides, the idea is that he arrives relaxed and happy.
Lucas: you are right, the hours of travel are exhausting.
We waited with the others while I looked at the arrival flights, according to Gabriel's copy his flight was RMY number 6721 at 8:30 am; according to my watch it was barely 8:15 am, so while I made some calls to check all day tomorrow, even though tomorrow was Friday we had to move things forward for Monday and Tuesday, you could say that we rested as such when a project was finally finished.
After a while we heard the announcement of the flight Gabriel who was going to arrive through gate 10, just as we were watching people leave, a tall man came by, a little more robust, he was the same height as me 1.77, dressed in a black shirt and some jeans with black sports shoes and a military color bag; I didn't need much detail to know it was Gabriel.
When he saw us he could only laugh as he approached us and in a very animated tone he said
Gabriel: -laughs- Wow what an elaborate welcome, whose idea was it?.
We all pointed to Hector as the one responsible for that detail.
Me: as you can see, they have only grown in height and age, but they are still children.
John: you say it for you, right? -laughs-
I: hey...
Gabriel: -laughs- I can't deny that they have really stressed me out from the long trip, I really appreciate that they haven't told Katyana anything since the poor thing has been busy and more so with her ex-boss.
John: I'll tell you about that later, for now let's have something to eat and drink and catch up.
Gabriel: but... before that I need a favor, for a few days I must stay at some of you's house, since I need to do some things.
All: What?.
Gabriel: curiosity killed the cat, but I will give you details later.
I gave the initiative that he could stay in my apartment while I arranged everything, otherwise I warned him not to worry and that he could take a break and think about the rest calmly; as I had to talk to him about work plans and more I preferred not to overwhelm him and leave a few days to talk about it later calmly.
