Ku Nam and his crew sat huddled in one large room. Both their clans had lost a lot of people this past ten years since the demon race appeared. Still, there were quite a number of them, yet they decided to stay hidden in one room. The owner of this inn is a son of a once visitor and had agreed to hide them. Inside, no one made quite any noise. They breathed shallow breaths and stayed out of the light. The tension in the air could not be described in words.

Soft footsteps could be heard coming up the stairs, causing them to tense up. The person stopped by their door and knocked once and the door fell off its hinges. Seeing them huddled in one room, the intruder chuckled.

“Quite the bunch.” he said and Ku Nam chuckled too.

“Yes, quite.” The moment his words landed, he released a martial skill that descended upon the room. The intruder looked at the illusion of a great field that formed before them and sighed, shaking his head and returning back to the room.
