To Kill A God (3)

Ed opened his eyes to a dewy morning. He remained seated as he was since he had closed his eyes and stared out the large open doors into the misty plains, which dampened his mood, causing Ku Jian and Nti Anem to rush out of their rooms instantly and stared at his sitting form.

“Brother Ed, What happened?” Ku Jian asked cautiously and Ed took out his fan and swung it, letting a gush of wind rippled through the doors into the plains and up the mountain range beyond, clearing the mist that had formed far into the lands.

“I don’t like the look of it this morning.” Ed said and Nti Anem released a breath. Tie Nse dashed in from outside the next second, and stared at three of them.

“What is it? The morning dew cleared in an instant. Who is plotting against this old man?” Tie Nse asked.

“Ya, Old pervert. Stop shouting this early morning!” Ku Jian scolded.

“You really are not a morning person.” Nti Anem commented at Ku Jian and sat opposite Ed.
