Ch 3 Part 2

Sachi Bennion: "Once again, I Selene, am having to speak through my charge. What makes you think I will punish them for you hurting yourself in their hold? I will not punish them for following their alphas orders, you on the other hand will be banished as I have instructed him to do. He is being generous giving the extra day to say goodbye to him and your mother. But it is clear that your human behavior is getting the better of you despite being a pure blood. You are a disgrace and have already tried to hurt half of the pair I sent to unite you all. If you do not wish to die today, you will stop fighting and accept that you are being cast out. You will repent and make offerings, or I will simply kill you."

The room was silent once again, the other elders, now seen first hand their goddess using Sachi as her voice. They were fearful yet awed at the mere sight of it all. The direct words coming from her mouth made most in the room shiver with slight fear. Basically, their mother was quite upset, and letting it be known.

Arlynn Bennion: "You would kill me without a single thought? What kind of mother does that? Do you always favor your special marked children? What is do damned important about her?"

Sachi Bennion: "You dare to question my judgement? I have sat these last three to four hundred years as I have watched many turns from our paths. I show no favoritism despite what you think, you, however, are showing human behaviors that are making it hard for me to believe that you are pure blood. Jealousy on this level was never part of us. You have allowed the humans to poison you despite the fact that others in the village can co-exist. I shall give you a week to prove you have the ability to repent and make offerings. If you do not bother at all in this time frame, I will simply kill you dead wherever you are once you are in the wilds. I am being more than generous. I have spoken."

She then moves toward Tarai and looks down upon her quivering face and body. She shakes with a start, almost turning her face away, but does not. As Sachi nears, her shaking becomes slightly harder.

Sachi Bennion: "You, Tarai, are clearly showing some kind of remorse for hurting your own kin. Prove to me that you can do the task I set forth. Make the offerings, show repentance, and follow our original ways. Do that within these next few years and I will allow you to have your mate, but if you decide to be defiant like Arlynn here, I will have no issue imposing the same judgement. You are the stronger one. Prove to me you can do this. That is all. Now Alpha Adie, make sure you send my decrees to the other tribes. Complete your tasks right. Thank you."

Her father simply nodded his head in the affirmative as the council members watched on in wonder and fright. Their goddess has given a command. It was probably the doubt upon their faces and their actions, besides Arlynn's that made her come through once again. Sachi smiled with a rough nod and her legs once again went out from under her. The shine in her eyes gone like before. Dropping to the floor, she looked up to her father with a light smile. Picking her up, her oldest brother sat her back into the chair she had been in. Adie smiled and turned back to the two in restraints.

Adie Bennion: "You have now heard for yourselves the direct will of our goddess Selene. How can you sit there and deny the fact that your sister was chosen to unite the tribes? She herself has now told us her will. Tomorrow, you two will be taken out of the bounds of our territory to the wilds. We will see if either of you can follow what she has directly said. You even have the chance to get your mates back, is that not a goal worth fighting for, knowing you will not have to be completely doomed to half a soul?"

Tarai looked upon her uncle with tears of regret. She was determined to follow the proper path; she was given the chance by the goddess herself and she was determined not to screw it up. With a newfound resolve, she sat on her knees, back straight, as she finished wiping the tears from her face. She shook her head in the affirmative and Adie smiled. He then looked to his own child, for whatever reason was still feeling entitled and smug. She snorted as she sneered at her younger sister once more, her hands made a rude symbol using her fingers, and Sachi simply smirked back as she lightly laughed.

Sachi Bennion: "Flipping me off with your fingers only goes to prove that you are far from mature enough, despite your age, to guide anyone. If you find the task our goddess has set forth to difficult, despite the fact that her demands were simple, then just die however you choose. No one can force you to follow our ways apparently, not even Selene herself. Whatever your fate is, will not be anyone's fault but your own, you have been given your choices."

Elder Member: "I could not agree more. That was well said. Your choices are clear, you two have till tomorrow to say your goodbyes, then you will be taken beyond our territory. As for the task given to our Alpha directly, everyone who can write will help to get as many decrees as possible out. I am more than sure that Selene herself will send word through the druids on her own that this message will be coming to them. We must not fail the goddess."

Adie Bennion: "Which brings us to what our meeting was about before this big distraction. Oh yes, please take Tarai and Arlynn to the holding cells after our meeting. Maybe this reeducation will do some good for them. My daughter has made an outline of things the goddess has been telling her these last few days regarding our packs ranking system. I will now go over them with you one at a time."

The meeting went on as each thing was laid out before them and the punishments of anyone who defied them. There was basically a question-and-answer session as everyone who had concerns with what was outlined was able to get some better clarifications. The elders were impressed that Sachi had managed to get everything so organized. Then her father brought in the second part of the meeting once he was satisfied that no one else had questions regarding the ranking system and the packs way of life, including paying tribute to their mother.

Adie Bennion: "That is the first part of the meeting, the second part will cover a suggestion that Sachi herself had brought to our attention. It will surely help all the tribes in the long run. Her suggestion of meeting on neutral ground and holding a ritual of sorts in two moons time for all unmated wolves. Everyone that is of age eighteen to age sixty will be required to attend. If we can get our people their mates in a timely fashion, hopefully we can avoid to many incidents of our people trying to be human. Selene is only showing leniency to those that started out human while they learn. I would appreciate any and all support of this idea."

Elder Member: "I think it is a fantastic idea. Get them with their mates as soon as possible without having to wait years of meeting by chance. One neutral spot for all tribes to attend. It is perfect, why have we not done this before? Never mind that, we will send word of the goddess's decree and of the ritual mating concept. With any luck, their druids will have already gotten word from Selene herself too."

Sachi Bennion: "I will let you know if I get anymore dreams concerning her wishes. You have no idea how exhausting channeling the goddess can be Elder. I am very thankful that you are happy with my idea of the ritualistic meeting. Thank you for accepting the idea so well. Now if no one minds, I am very tired after what has happened today. I cannot even walk due to the exhaustion."

Elder Member: "Oh, of course, I should have realized it sooner when you slid to the ground. Please, take all the rest you need. I am glad that you came out of your accident well. We will see you again soon."

Adie Bennion: "Son if you would please take your sister back to the house. I have some things to wrap up here while we get enough people that can read and write to help send the decrees out. When you are done with that, make sure she has some food and get your betas on the task of writing the decree to. I know most of them know how to write."

Keyon Bennion: "Yes father, I will make sure sister is taken care of. Do not worry, I will leave guards around the house and make sure there are no more feral wolves in our village. I know your betas are on it, but it does not hurt to help hunt them."
