Chapter 13: The Weekend Part 1: The Tour

It was now the end of sixth period and the two walked out and were having a conversation about what to do now that they have a free period.

"You just wanna come over now seeing as we have nothing to do. You can also do your homework at my house." Aang asked.

"Sure. Let's go" Katara smiled. She texted Sokka and her father before she grabbed her stuff. She didn't want an incident like before.

The two-headed out of the building and went to his orange Ford GT. Katara was still surprised to see that Aang had another car. Aang unlocked the door and hopped in. Katara did the same. They got all situated and buckled up and started to go to Aang's.

About 10 minutes later and Aang pulled into the driveway he saw Gyatso's car. He smiled at the sight of his grandfather's old car. He and Katara got out and headed towards the front door.

"Uh, Aang? Who's car is that" Katara asked before he put the key in the door.

"It's my grandfather, he just got back today," Aang said while turning the key in the lock. A few seconds later Appa and Momo came running towards the entrance.

"Hi, Appa and Momo! You guys miss me?" Katara talked in a baby voice while smiling and petting the dogs. Appa and Momo licked her arms and enjoyed her petting them.

"Gyatso" Aang shouted.

"In the kitchen" He shouted back. Aang motioned for Katara to follow him.

"Gyatso, this is my friend Katara. She has been coming over for the past few days to give me the school work that I've missed." Aang told him.

"Well, it is nice to meet you, young lady. Would you like to stay for dinner seeing as you are good friends with my grandson?" Gyatso politely asked.

"It's nice to meet you too sir. I would have to ask my father if I can but I'm pretty sure I can." Katara told him with a smile. Gyatso nodded and continued to cut the vegetables that he just bought even though there were some fresh ones in the fridge already.

"If you want any type of meat to go along with your meal we have to go to the store," Aang told Katara looking over at her. Katara was texting her father. She shortly got a response.

"My father said I could stay for dinner." Katara gleefully said. "I think I need to cut down on meat because I have just noticed that I barely eat any vegetables. It might be nice." Katara told him.

"Alright. So we should do our homework." Aang said. Katara nodded and went back to the living room to get her stuff. They headed upstairs to Aang's room because Gyatso was playing some meditation music and Aang knew that meant Gyatso was going to the mediation room that was next to the kitchen and he turned the volume all the way up so he couldn't be distracted from all outside noise.

"Wait here," Aang tells Katara when they get in front of Aang's door. She nodded and bent down to pet the dogs that quietly followed the two up the stairs because they too didn't like the mediation music. Aang comes out 2 minutes later and motions Katara to come in.

Katara's eyes widened when she saw a very clean room. She was surprised because whenever she went into Sokka's room there would be dirty clothes all around but Aang's room was spotless. Aang motioned over to sit on the bed while he grabbed himself 2 stands up trays so they both could work. He sat relatively close to Katara. But keeping a little space in between them.

They finished doing their homework and they just talked for a little while. Every now and then Appa and Momo would walk around to one of them and sit in front of them waiting for attention. The two always gave it to them and they would switch dogs because Katara was in love with them.

Seeing as it was Katara's first time being upstairs Aang came up with a fantastic idea.

"You wanna tour my house?" Aang asked.

"Sure!" Katara said, getting up and placing Momo down. She grabbed her phone and began recording.

"Let's go then," Aang said motioning for Katara to exit the room first.

They made their way down the hallway. The door across from Aang's room was one of the bathrooms that they had. Further down they passed Gyatso's room, a mini gym room, a storage room, 2 guest bedrooms, and another bathroom. They then made their way back downstairs. Gyatso was still meditating so they were quiet but Aang whispered what each place was.

There was a whole side of the house that wasn't seen unless you opened another door that led to another hallway with doors. They walked past the actual gym Aang had but only used that one if Gyatso was using the one upstairs. They continued walking and saw a mini arcade, a sauna, and 2 more guest bedrooms which each had their own bathrooms in them (those were for renting purposes if Gyatso and Aang were to go on a trip somewhere).

They made their way back towards the entrance of the hallway. The last thing Aang showed her was his backyard. Katara was already amazed by the interior of his house. Her mouth opened when Aang opened the door to the backyard. There was basically a whole kitchen, a massive pool with a slide, a mini dog park for Appa and Momo but the entrance for them was inside the house, a hot tub, and if you went further down on the property there were even go-karts and a track.

"How in the entire heck did you get this house! It is like the most expensive house in all of Republic City!" Katara said after a while of trying to form a sentence. All Aang did was shrug and lead her back towards the house.

"And that concludes the tour of my house," Aang said when they reached the porch.

"What did I think? What did I think!" Katara said. "I think your house is the coolest thing in Republic City! Like you have a go-kart track in your freaking backyard." Katara exclaimed. "Oh, I am posting this on snap. Everyone is going to be jealous and then people are going to want to come over just to see if this was fake!!" Katara exclaimed while her phone was still out.
