Blood Intake -L-

As I bite his neck, my fangs slip into his carotid and the blood flows in.

As it flows in through my fangs my eyes constrict, I take my fangs out and back up slightly while holding back my urge to puke.

'What the hell? I thought Vampires were supposed to drink blood.'

"Is something wrong mistress?"

With my blood vision still present I turn and see Alex standing there, but her blood looks relatively closer to crimson and more appealing than the light red blood of the humans. I feel my throat burn as if I need more blood, but that blood was horrific. It tasted like spoiled milk.

Thinking about it, I go back to my status and focus on my race again.

Raising my eyebrows at the skill notification I think for a while before appraising the race again.

[Vampire: Pure-Blood]

[A Vampire that has overcome their primal urge to drink blood, this Vampire archetype is extremely powerful and has the unique ability to make other Vampires as loyal to them as if they themselves had turned them.

These Vampires are extremely sensitive to blood and are usually able to drink it by normal means. This, however, only applies before the Vampire has sired a new one. From this point on, these Vampire Archetypes can only drink blood from other Vampires.]

Seeing this I turn to Alex but without my blood vision. Her torn jacket shows her collarbone and neck clearly. Looking back at her face I could see her gaze was distant and her pupils are shrunk. Following her gaze I see it's directed at where I drank blood from Dylan's neck.

"Alex, come here and try his blood."

I grab her arm and bring her over before she walks over and starts drinking his blood through instincts. Dylan's eyes flutter and opens his clear blue eyes and he pushes Alex away. I catch Alex, letting her lean back on me slightly as I stare at Dylan as he checks his neck.

His annoying but clear voice speaks with an obvious irritation to it.

"What the hell did you do?"

I raise my eyebrow before speaking clearly.

"You tried to kill them and you're asking what we're doing? If anything you should be glad Alex didn't suck you dry of blood."

His eyebrows raise and he speaks inquisitively.

"What are you talking about? What do you mean tried to kill them? Tried to kill who?"

Alex furrows her brows and opens her mouth but I cover it. I can tell he's not lying, for once, learning psychology, body language and reading random stuff about lies and how they affect people comes in handy, of course, I knew it would.

*bzzt*

Looking back at my phone still on the bed I was in. I look back at Dylan and release Alex from my grip before getting up close and personal with Dylan to say,

"What do you remember?"

-----Alex's View-----

I can see Dylan's cheeks redden and his eyes show a hint of lust. I pull Mistress Linde back and he stares at me for a second before recounting his day.

". . . the last thing I remember is leaving Period 2 for snack."

I narrow my eyes and can't believe the lies he's spouting at all. When I glance over at the Mistress I can see her brows are furrowed. She's thinking something confusing no doubt, her maroon eyes are swirling, changing now and then.

-----Linde's View-----

This is boring, he's telling the truth. So who did it then? Was it another race, or a class. A ruffling sounds takes my attention, my brows furrow, I turn and see Tia waking up, my brows soften. I turn back to Dylan and think about what to do about him.

'We could kill him, but that'd bring investigations and all sorts of sh-'

*bzzt*

'Things, to my home. Alex and Tia's homes too. Killing's off the list, that leaves a few options. One, turn him. Personally I don't want to, he still tried to kill them, even if he was forced to. Two, have Alex sire him, this would allow her to get her revenge and we'd be able to keep the secret while her getting practice for the future. Or. Three. Ignore all of this and go get a snack first.'

My face turns conflicted for a little before I nod.

"Tia, come with me, Alex, watch Dylan and make sure he doesn't do anything stupid."

Alex's brows furrow as she asks.

"What will you be doing."

"Me? Getting a snack," after stealing a subtle glance at Tia who was walking over, I continue, "You know what doesn't taste good, might as well try normal food."

Alex nods and Dylan follows albeit more hesitantly. Tia just looks confused with a cat-like mouth and blinking eyes. How innocent.

I motion for Tia to follow me and she looks at Alex, who nods, before walking with me to the café. On the way I think about what to do about Dylan but when we arrive I can feel the urge to drool. Missing lunch really doesn't help my urges now, does it.

The café itself is normal, so to speak. A few booths with rectangular tables. Circular tables and one person chairs, however, are most prominent and liked here. I walk to the counter and show the note that Courtney stuck to the door on her way out.

'Linde passed out and missed lunch, mind giving her something for four people to take out? Of course, there are more people in the infirmary.'

After confirming the note, the lunch lady, Kyla Szewc and Courtney's younger sister, handed me the food.

"Say, Linde."

I look up at Kyla and see the curiosity etched into her expression.

"You look, ethereal? Yeah, that's the word. What happened?"

Before I even answer she leans in and asks.

"Did you choose a race?"

I give her an ambiguous smile and leave after thanking her for the food, unknowingly stunning a few of the boy volunteers.

As we turned the last corner on the way to the room, I glance at Tia behind me and catch the troubled expression she's wearing. Furrowing my brows a little, I stop in my tracks and she almost runs into me. As she meets my eyes and comes out of her daze I speak softly.

"Is something wrong?"

She opens her mouth and considers something before nodding slightly.

"Is what the Lunch Lady said true? Did you take a race pill? The news stated that everyone was prohibited from taking the race pill, although many people took it before the broadcast, is there going to be a problem because you took it?"

I simply smile at the innocent girl and continue walking towards the infirmary without paying attention to her flustered face.
