The Demon Which Destroys Ego

Two weeks have past since archangel Ariel come to visit Anna, Azi and Ana.

While Ariel visited Anna.

Anna told her mother about all the adventures the three of them went on.

Ariel listened with excitement but also sadness.

Meanwhile.

While Anna was telling the stories.

Aziza could not help but be mesmerized by Ariel's beauty even Gun Ana was amazed.

After a couple of hours had past.

Ariel had to leave.

Anna was sad but she also understood.

Her mother was after all the archangel Ariel so she is quite busy but before Ariel left.

Ariel gave her beloved daughter a kiss on the forehead and then said

" Be it heaven, earth or even hell. Know that I will always watch over you my dear Anna "

Anna was doing her best to hold back her tears.

Anna and Ariel shared one final hug and then Ariel vanished within a beautiful white light.

At present.

Anna and sultan Baibars were taking a walk within the garden near the inner castle.

The garden was extraordinary.

There were roses, violets and orchids everywhere.

While Anna and Baibars were talking, Azi was flying around the garden and enjoying the flowers.

" It has been a while since we could have a talk together. Too bad Aaqil is not here " said Anna.

" Aaqil is my most trustworthy aid but even I think he should take a break once in a while " said Baibars.

Anna was silent.

" What is it? " said Baibars.

" I was just thinking "

" Oh. Then do share "

" I have heard that his majesty has been referred to as a " father of conquest" but from what I have noticed his greece mostly tries to negotiate before

entering battle. From what I understand you try your best to avoid a fight "

Baibars was processing what Anna just said.

" It is as you say. I do my best to avoid a battle but I do not shy away from one….. what I am trying to say is. I value life and thus I do my best to preserve life….. for I have already lost so many "

Anna was now silent again.

" It seems that your ego has not gotten the best of you " said a voice within the garden.

Anna and Baibars looked where the voice was coming from and what they saw was something dark with glowing eyes.

Azi flew back to Anna.

Baibars drew forth his sword and went to stand in front of Anna.

" Identify yourself " said Baibars.

" Me….. I am he who dwells in the abyss. I have no form as you can see. All I am trying to do is be " said the being.

" Then I take it that you have no name " said Baibars.

" I do but I doubt that you would want to hear it " said the being.

" But we do. I would be honored to know your name " said Anna.

The being from the abyss looked at Anna.

" Very well. My name is Choronzon " said Choronzon.

" And what business do you have with us, Choronzon. Are you here to fight? " said Baibars.

" Not at all. I do not have a physical body as you can see. So fighting would be rather difficult for me " said Choronzon in a calm voice.

Baibars thought about it for a moment.

" I guess that you're right " said Baibars and then put away his sword.

Anna peaked at Choronzon from behind Baibars.

" Then if I may ask. Why are you here? " said Anna.

" I have come to ask the sultan a question " said Choronzon.

Baibars looked at Choronzon and then said

" Then by all means, ask "

" If given the chance. What would you say to become the ruler of the entire world " said Choronzon and without hesitation Baibars said

" I am afraid that I would have to decline such an opportunity "

Anna and Choronzon looked at Baibars intrigued.

" Why would you decline. Would the world and her people not be in better hands under your rule " said Choronzon.

" I highly doubt that. It is true that I am a sultan now but my rule is only possible because of the people by my side. The only one who could rule over the entire earth and have a perfect rule could only be God and I am most certainly not God " said Baibars.

Anna smiled.

" I see. I have now gotten the answer to my question and thus I will take my leave. Oh but before I leave. I just have one suggestion. I think it would be wise to train that assistance of yours the art of combat " said Choronzon.

Baibars looked surprised.

" And why is that, if I may ask " said Baibars.

" I can not say and it was only a suggestion. What you do from here on out is up to the both of you " said Choronzon and with that Choronzon vanished into thin air.

Baibars was silent for a moment.

Baibars then walked towards the inner castle.

" Anna ready yourself " said Baibars.

" For what my sultan "

" I think it is about time I taught you how to defend yourself "

Anna smiled and then ran over to Baibars.
