The Puppy of Ulster
Some time had passed since Moriarty/Anansi had visited Anna, or rather, since Moriarty/Anansi put the fear of death within Anna's heart and soul.
Baibars, Aaqil, Asia and Hadil could all see that Anna was affected by something but since Anna herself said that she was fine.
All of them just gave Anna some space.
Not even Azi could cheer Anna up, since Azi herself was pretty shaken up herself and Ana did not know what to say to make Anna and Azi feel better, so even Ana was quiet.
Anna was sitting by a lake within one of the forests near the kingdom.
Anna was just sitting by the lake and all that could be heard was mother nature herself.
Anna was completely quiet, almost as if she had lost the will to live but that was when Anna and the others once again heard footsteps coming towards them.
Anna jumped up from the rock she was sitting on, Anna's eyes glowed and Anna then pointed her staff of Moses towards the sound of the footsteps.
After a couple of seconds, all three ladies saw who the footsteps belonged to, they did not belonged to Moriarty/Anansi, the footsteps actually did not belonged to anyone that Anna knew of, the footsteps belonged to a young man, about the same age as Anna, the young man had what looked like a spear on him.
Anna's eyes stopped glowing, Anna also lowered her staff of Moses.
Anna was just looking at the young man and so was Azi but Azi had one thing to say about the young man
" He is sooooooooo sexyyyyyyyy!!!!!! "
The young man looked at Anna and then said
" I am sorry, I didn't mean to scare you "
" That is okay, is there something I can help you with? " said Anna.
" Oh no, I just saw this lake and I just wanted to enjoy it up close " said the young man.
Anna was still just looking at the young man.
" Oh! How rude of me " said the young man.
The young man then walked closer to Anna and then said
" My name is Connla and it is an honor " said Connla and then raised his right hand.
Anna shock Connla's right hand and then said
" My name is Anna "
Connla and Anna just looked at each other.
Gun Ana was about to say something but that was when Azi said
" Not this time Ana, let Anna get to know Connla the old fashioned way but yes, even I am curious to know what the son of Cú Chulainn is doing here and why or how Connla is wielding his father's weapon, the Gáe Bolg "
Connla looked towards Aziza and then Connla smiled, which surprised Aziza.
Anna and Connla then both sat besides the lake and talked for hours about various things.
Sunset had come and that was when Anna said
" I must be leaving now, it was really nice meeting you, Connla "
Connla just looked at Anna.
Anna was a bit confused for a moment but then Anna said
" Do you have no home? "
Connla got a bit embarrassed and then said
" No... "
Anna smiled and then said
" Then please follow me, I am sure that the sultan will give you a home within his kingdom "
Connla smiled and then followed Anna.
While Anna and Connla were walking on the road towards the kingdom.
One of the guards at the gates saw Anna and Connla walking together and that was when the guard said
" Saint Anna is walking with a unknown boy... INFORM THE SULTAN IMMEREDERLY! "
One of the guards then got on a horse and rode straight towards the inner castle.
After having walked for awhile.
Anna and Connla finally reached the throne room of the inner castle, where both Baibars and Aaqil were both glaring at Connla, which made Connla sweat bullets and Anna was just confused about the tension in the room.
" So Anna…. who is this strange young man you have brought into my kingdom " said Baibars.
" My sultan, this is Connla and he has nowhere to go, so I was hoping that he could stay within the kingdom " said Anna.
Both Baibars and Aaqil said (at the same time)
" No "
Anna looked at the both of them and then said
" Why not? "
Baibars and Aaqil were both quiet.
Aaqil then said
" The sultan has spoken and it shall be as he has said "
But Anna was still not satisfied.
" Then we did the sultan not hesitate taking me in 10 years ago "
Baibars was not only quiet but he now started to sweat.
Anna just looked at Baibars.
" That was because... I saw potential in you as my assistance " said Baibars.
" Well, I see potential in Connla as a warrior of the sultan. Connla would be and is a great warrior " said Anna.
Connla just looked at Anna.
Connla then smiled, while Baibars started to sweat even more.
Baibars looked at Aaqil but even Aaqil was covered in sweat.
" Fine... Connla may stay but he can not stay within the inner castle. I will see to it that Connla will get a proper home within the kingdom " said Baibars.
Anna smiled and then said
" Thank you my sultan "
Connla was still looking at Anna.
Connla then looked at Baibars and Aaqil and saw that Aaqil and Baibars were now glaring even more intensely at Connla which made Connla sweat bullets again.
And with that Connla, the son of Cú Chulainn and the new wielder of Gáe Bolg got to stay within the kingdom of Sultan Baibars but before we leave, Aziza has one last thing to say
" I can't wait for Hadil and Asia to hear about this "
