Episode 20

He felt fire inside him and more so he felt betrayed. Why was she crying? And moreover why did she had to open up to him? Who was he? He didn't even knew his name. He didn't even know under which department he worked. He never saw him before but it seemed that Elnaz knew him from past.

But wasn't he who knew her from past but she never opened up to him. The rage he felt inside was like fire. His mind was at havoc and he never liked such state of his mind. It made him think harshly towards others. It had happened before on the following night where he had burst out Elnaz and it wasn't right on her part. He didn't wanted to repeat it again. Because of the night he started to loosen up because he felt that he was way too uptight with her but it felt like she didn't wanted him to be like that.

'If that's what she wants then I will stop being like this. It's like I am forcing her in to this friendship. I will let her be and stay away from her." He thought.

"Because if I don't then that man would face my wrath and I don't want to become the bad guy for anyone." He murmured turning away from the window ceiling. He sat on his chair and started going through the data sheet in front of him. He read it twice-thrice but he couldn't concentrate on what was printed on it. Frustrated he threw it on the ground and ran his fingers through his hairs.

Wiping her face Elnaz entered the office building. She was feeling okay now. She smiled at the receptionist. As she reached on her floor she saw Janet standing outside Rafay's cabin. She rolled her eyes and entered her cabin.

'Why is she so rude to me always?' She thought. It was nearing 4 p.m now. She had one hour to finish today's task. But she was nearly done with it. Finishing the leftover work she reviewed it once again. After she was done she packed her purse. Still fifteen minutes were left. So she decided to surf through her phone. She scrolled through Instagram.

Only five minutes were left to five so she decided to go down to the parking basement below. Rafay stood there near Richard. He was early today. Upon seeing that she had came down he told Rafay to start the car. He didn't pay any heed to her. Not even a smile.

'Who bit him?' She thought sarcastically. As she sat in the car she pulled out her earphones and started listening to music.

He was cold towards her and she sensed it.

'It's me who should be mad at him. Not him.' She thought to herself. She couldn't believe that he would act in such a way. He seemed okay during lunch but suddenly he changed reaching office.

'It's not something new. He always thought low of me.' She concluded getting out of the car as soon as they reached the mansion. She was in a hurry which didn't go missing from him.

'She wants to ignore me.' He thought while getting outside the car when his eyes caught something. Elnaz had dropped her wallet in the car.

"What a clumsy girl!" He murmured picking it up.

At seven p.m in the evening Elnaz got out of to mansion as she and Joey had decided to meet at the library to prepare the excel sheet. Good thing was that the Wilson library was nearby so she didn't have to travel far away. Just as she was to enter the library she saw Joey pulling his car to the parking area. She waited for him to come by. Once he was done both of them entered the library and got seated at a secluded chair so that they can converse plus work on it without disturbing others present in the library.

"The topic is easy." Elnaz murmured as she understood how it was to be done.

"Yeah it is." Joey looked at her while she looked at his laptop to get the theory properly.

"Just a little confusing." She told him and he nodded his head.

Once she was done understanding she started preparing the excel sheet while he sat there to guide her if any point arose. She was busy working while he sat there with his iPhone when he received message from his date.

"Are you coming?" She had texted him.

He straight forward Sent a "no" to her. She replied him instantly and he just shrugged it off.

"Douche" was what she had texted him. Keeping his phone back in his pants he looked at Elnaz. She was too engrossed in her work to even take notice of anything.

'I canceled my very interesting date for her. Why?' He thought looking at her. He never thought that he would be sitting in a library just to help a girl out whom he was not interested in and ditch a date which could have lead to a happening night. She was not his type. His type was rather a easy to get, daring and non-religious girls where as Elnaz was totally opposite. She was not an easy to get girl.

Yet here he was. Back then in the afternoon when he saw her crying he couldn't bring himself to just turn around and walk away. So he offered to help and it made him satisfied then just going out on a date and eventually getting laid at the end. Then keeping the girl around for a week or two then moving on. That was his routine. Not what he was doing today. He felt like a teenager for once and he liked it though.

Around nine a clock still Elnaz was only half done with the excel sheet.

"Ohh God! It's nine -five by now. I am so late." Elnaz panicked.

"Hey! It's not late. It's only nine by now." He told her seeing her packing her things.

"No. It's late. I don't stay out till this time. I should to go home." She said putting her laptop inside the zip bag.

"You don't stay out late. Don't you?" He asked her as if to confirm. He had never seen a girl saying nine in the every was late.

"Yes." She replied getting up

"Thank you so much." She thanked him picking up her belongings as he too stood up.

"But you have half of your work still left. What if you get stuck?" He asked her.

"Hmm.. you are right what can I do then?" She murmured.

"Here take my number. Call me if needed. Don't hesitate. I don't want my teaching to go in vain." He joked.

"Okay." She replied saving his number on her phone.
