Being Humble

"Is this how you apologize to every lady you offend?" I asked Aminu, as we both sipped our drinks.

"No, just you. The other ladies I know, are either too scared of water, to want to go on a boat cruise with me, or don't even like the idea at all."

"Wow I see. Apology accepted then."

Thank God Miriam had spoken to him that day, if not, I wouldn't be here having the time of my life.

"I'm glad we can put what happened the last time, behind us. I hope this isn't too much?"

"No it's fine, though you didn't need to go through the hassle of renting a yacht, just because you want to apologise to me, a simple apology would have been okay."

I pretended not to know who he was, and the amount of wealth he has.

"Uhm... Not really, I didn't rent it." He replied, without giving me any further information.

"How do you mean?" I asked, trying my best not to look like I was fishing for information.

"I actually own this yacht."
