Getting Released

The police officer must have gotten the message Aminu was trying to pass across, for he immediately kept quiet staring at his note book. I know this isn't the place and time, but I actually smiled inwardly as I felt proud of my man for defending me the way he just did.

"Officer please we have to bail her out today, we need to take her to the hospital." Blessing tried pleading with the officer.

"I just told you the rules, we don't grant bails on weekends." He said adamantly.

I hit the counter in anger. "What stupid rules?! What useless....."

Aminu interrupted me by placing his arm around my shoulders. "Baby please calm down." He whispered into my ear, as he led me outside.

"No didn't you hear what he said? He talking about rules when she is.... She is..." I was too angry to finish my statement.

"I know you are angry and what to get your friend out of that cell, so please allow me to handle it okay?" He gently squeezed my arm.
