There's Never A Dull Moment With You

Nathan was in the middle of working on a chapter when his doorbell rang. He wasn't expecting any packages so he wasn't sure why his doorbell would be ringing. He didn't exactly get visitors.

Then he opened the door and saw Sierra with a sheepish expression on her face and remembered she was bringing cookies. He didn't want to appear overeager but…

"Do you have the cookies?"

"Yes, but they're hideous," she said with a massive sigh. "They do taste good though; don't worry but they uh…well, see them for yourself."

Nathan let her in and, after he closed the door, she presented the plastic baggie filled with cookies the color of Pepto-Bismol. Not only were they that rather alarming shade of pink, they were shaped like lumpy logs.

If Amber was here, she would probably say they looked like pink poop. This sort of immature thinking was what he got for spending too much time with a ten-year-old. He didn't dare say such a thing out loud though.
