Chapter 25: Reunion and shopping

My dad came and immediately went to the surveillance room to see if he could find out who this woman is. It's been two and a half hours since my baby was taken and I am still freaking out. Who the hell kidnaps a newborn baby? At this point I am beyond mad or being pissed, I am livid. When I find out who did this, I am going to kill them with my bare hands.

I'm feeding Jaxon and worrying about if these people have the decency to at least feed her formula.

"How you holding up sweetie," my mom asks me concerned.

"I'm pissed! How could someone do something like this," I say, on the verge of angry tears.

"I don't know honey. There are a lot of sick individuals out there," she tells me, rubbing my back.

Danny and my dad walk in and they do not look happy. Danny comes over and I hand him Jaxon as I'm done feeding him. He puts him over his shoulder to burp him. With Jaxon in his arms, he seems to calm down slightly.

"Any news into who this chick is," I ask my dad.

"She works for a rival gang, which is what I figured. My guess is they're trying to use her as ransom against me," he tells me.

I begin to cry softly, fearing for my baby girl.

"We're gonna find her, don't worry," he reassures me. I just nod my head, unable to speak.

Danny comes over and kisses the top of my head saying, "I love you and I know your dad will get her back."

"I love you too," I tell him, kissing Jax on the forehead.

It's been two weeks since Meanna was kidnapped and we haven't found anything. I cry myself to sleep every night and everyone is very worried about me. Danny puts up this brave face but I know this is hitting him as hard as it's hitting me.

"Boss! We've found something," Will, my dad's right hand, says while running into the living room. Everyone in the room perks up at this.

"What is it," I ask, jumping to my feet and running up to him.

"We found their hideout and we've seen them out and about with a car seat," he says. "We also saw the woman from the hospital. Her name is Valerie Carson."

"As in Chet Carson, my biggest rival," my dad says with a scowl on his face. This information springs him into Boss Mode, barking orders left and right.

I sit back and just revel in the fact that my baby will be home soon. I glance over at Jax in his SNOO Smart Sleeper Bassinet and then look at the empty one next to him. She'll be back home and in her bassinet next to her brother in no time.

My dad and his men moved in on the location they found and of course, I wasn't allowed to go with them. So here I am, sitting waiting for everyone to get back, hoping that my baby girl is okay. They've already been gone for two hours and it's killing me not knowing what's going on.

I finally hear the front door open and I jump up, running to it. When I see her in the car seat that my dad is holding, I sob and run over to grab her. I hold her, bouncing up and down as she fuses.

"Did you kill them," I ask him, not once taking my eyes off of my daughter.

"Every last one of them," he says, patting me on the shoulder. I give him a nod and say, "Good." Danny comes over and pulls us both into a hug, making sure not to squeeze Mea too tight.

"She's back," I whisper, still crying softly.

"Yeah, she is," he whispers back, his own tears falling down his face.

It's been about a month and we've been doing great. We've been focusing on planning the wedding and supporting Justice, who is thirty-two weeks pregnant. We announced the birth of the twins to the rest of the family. Jaxon Lee Roberts was born on 04/10/2020 at two thirty-five AM and Meanna Na'Shay Roberts was born on 04/10/2020 at two fifty-six AM.

The girls and I are wedding dress shopping while the guys are shopping for tuxes. We also took Jane with us to get her flower girl dress while Greg Junior went with the guys to get his suit because he's the ring bearer. Mea and Jax are with their grandparents so we don't have to worry about them.

"Do you ladies need any help finding anything," one of the floor ladies asks us.

"Yes, she's the bride to be, we're the bridesmaids, and this little one is the flower girl," Ariel says, pointing to each of us and speaking up before any of us can.

I roll my eyes at her and the lady, Susan, laughs.

"Where would we like to start," she asks us.

"With me, I guess," I say shyly. I still can't believe I'm getting married. We're having the ceremony after graduation which is in a week. We went shopping for graduation last week, so we have our outfits already.

"What kind of style are you looking for," she asks me.

"I wanted a princess style dress with sleeves," I tell her. She gives me a nod, thinking for a minute, before gesturing for us to follow behind her.

We find a few that we all like and then I try them on. The first few just don't feel right and then I get to the one that Justice picked out for me and I instantly fall in love.

"This is the one," I say, looking at myself in the mirror from different angles. The bodice has silk fabric with linen swirls stitched into it. The back buttons up to just below my shoulder blades and has swirls fanning from the buttons and around the top to the front. The bottom has about thirty layers of georgette fabric with linen swirls and snowflakes stitched into it. The sleeves are made of georgette fabric with linen swirls going around the shoulders and the wrists and there are a couple of snowflakes in between. I paired the dress with some open-toed five-inch heels that have silk fabric with little blue snowflakes stitched into them.

"Do you love it because we love it," Beth says, making everyone nod their heads in agreement.

"I love it so much," I say, hugging Justice and thanking her for picking it out.

Now to find the girls' dresses and shoes, then we're all set.
