Stellar Step to a 1001 Mile Journey

Later that night, it was almost eleven in the evening when their reservation in the karaoke room culminated. Unlike their typical Friday night out, the employees who joined Stellar's send-off party were still sober. She guessed that they didn't want to get into Beau's black list all because of a drunken stupor, so they just sang their stresses out and drank moderately.

As the group made their exit, they realized it was pouring hard outside, and that there was zero visibility in the streets.

"I can drop you off," Beau offered at Stellar but she shook her head and politely declined. Despite his annoyance, Beau held a straight face and just nodded his head. "Okay. Athena, make sure she goes home safely."

As expected, Beau didn't persuade Stellar and swept his sight on the employees who were standing behind them. Knowing him, Stellar mused how he reigned in his obvious disappointment in the presence of strangers.
