2. Bestieeeee
Scream,barks,hisses I could hear every sound that scares the crap out of me,it was dark, very dark I could only sense my movements
"Daddy where are we"
"Just stay quite Elizabeth"
"I dont like it here I wanna go home"
"I say stay quite or else.." He scold
"What is this.." He interrupted in a panick
"Don't touch th.." I pressed it hard
"Haaaaaaaaa..." The voice went on diminishing until I couldn't hear a thing
"Daddy...daddy ...d a d d y
I opened my eyes sweating, my throat was dry, the lights were on and mom was holding my hand facing the floor, her eyes were closed in a minute before she opened them
"Just go back to sleep" she said softly patting my shoulder.
The next morning I woke up I went straight to the shower, I tied my black curls in a pony tail leaving some strands falling on my face, I looked in the closet and found some nice tight jeans and a brown tank top
"Act cool Elizabeth" I thought to myself
I checked the phone I found yesternight, the other girl on the screen could probably be the one from the Simpton's family.
The smell of food made my stomach grumble, I followed the smell dreamingly while holding my composure.
"Good morning baby" she is so sweet
"Good morning mama" her face brightened with a smile
"It's been a while since you called me that "
"Ooh yeah" what else should I say
She took off her apron and led me to the dinning table
"Take a seat and eat, I don't need you going late on your first day of third year"
Without saying a word I sat down as she served me some rice, omelette and milk for breakfast, she took a seat right infront of me
"Where is ...D..dad" operation acting natural, her eyes widened at the question asked, ooh ohh!
"Never heard you calling him dad" I coughed choking some rice
"People change right_" I forced a smile, she looked at me while I got interested with my plate
"He's already off to work....are you going to take your motorcyle today or like taking my advice of all times" riding a bike, was I having an attitude, I hope not
"I'll just take your advice"
"Here are the keys" she slided the keys to my side
"It's an old convertible but I promise to buy you a new one"
"Thanks"
"Don't mention"
"Thanks for the meal too" she just nodded for this one, as I struggle deciding on what to do with the plate luckly she beat me to it
"Just leave it right there, okay hurry up your running late"
"Okay"
I took my bag then walked outside looking for the car, when i assured myself the choice I made was correct I opened the doors then sat on the driver's seat contemplating on what to do next
"Ooh god... this is insane, do I even know how to drive this, breath Elizabeth breath you're smart, you can do this okay .. here we go.."
I started the engines cautiously a smirk creeping on my face
"It's not that hard after all.." not everything is actually erased from my brains, I feel kinda lucky. But wait where I'm I going..
I heard a knock on the window, my heart missed a beat when I saw my mom gesturing me to open the windows
"Yes mom?!" I said in the lowest voice ever
"I understand that you hate school, but you just have to go young lady"
"Thank you for understanding mom" whew, this woman is a heaven scent
"Okay hurry up"
I didn't waste time to exit the gates, but I really had no idea where i was going, I surveyed the city like half an hour, my phone was buzzing non stop and I didn't have a reason to ignore the calls but I did.
I came to a halt infront of a mini super market, parked randomly on the parking lot then waited impatiently for my brains to function
I picked the phone which was ringing for the n'th time, I did not take the count
"Hello" i said nervously
"Bestieeeeeee "she creamed
I moved my phone as far as where my ear drums could not get pierced
"can't believe your getting late on your own...ouch that so so hurts, cooling me off treat me lunch today"
"Okay" it came out like a question
"What's wrong , did Jack do anything..gosh am gonna kill that guy" she talked too fast I remained dumbfounded
"I'm coming to take you bestfriend, don't leave the gates" i smiled then looked at the mini supermarket sign
"Actually I'm at Momas mini supermarket's parking lot"
"Don't even move a nail,I'm coming" she hunged up
It did not take long I saw a scooter coming my direction, I opened the car and slipped out to see if she was the one, she parked not too far removed her helmet that showed out her dark brown hair, she turned and waved my direction, she resembles the girl on my screen, I switched on the phone...yeah right idiot it's her i waved back
She started walking my direction like she was on a catwalk or something in her full black jeans and top
"Bestie" she hugged me tightly patting my back
"Spit it out, where were you yesterday, I thought you were at Jack's but I guess I was wrong" she took a step back letting our eyes meet like we were going to speak with them
"Can we please talk in the car" I spoke politely while she stood looking suprised
"Where's your motorcyle and what happened to the 'dont tell me what to do Liz'.." She quoted with her fingers in air
"I'll explain everything"
I told her the full story of what happened yesterday that I dont remember a thing, she was so shocked with the news,I could tell with countless 'what the_' that she said
"Soooo how comes you trusted me without knowing who I really am?" She asked playfully raising her brows
"I feel the connection plus I don't know why I was in love with you at first sight"
"Ooh please" she shook the compliment away that made us all burst out in laughter, she continued
"Your just the same spoiled kid with or without your brains"
The laughter died slowly
"Let's switch seats I wanna drive this baby"
After making the switch, we stayed quite for a minute
"What are you thinking?" I asked her
"I was thinking of abandoning that scooter, yellow is absolutely not my style" I gave out a chuckle
"Why were you driving it anyway" she started the engine and drove off the parking lot
"My bike broke that's why, I'll just call James to pick it up!"
"Who's James"
"Ooh you don.., he's my boyfriend, by the way this is Virginia,
let me take you somewhere you'll get your memory back"
"Where's that?"
"Mountain Hills " she noticed my questioning face and added
"School...I'm taking you to school...it's so obvious you'll get something out of that place apart from education" she made a face when saying education, I smiled
"Can't wait to see that place" i said correcting my posture
"Trust me you'll never want to hear yourself saying that"
She switched on the music after that, it played New Rules by Dua Lipa, she was trying to lip sync the song when her voice came out unorganised, she made the drum piercing voice anyone would hate i covered my ears in annoyance
"Oops my bad, I didn't mean to scare you like that or annoy you" she giggled
"That was one annoying voice I've ever heard"
"You dont even remember anyone's voice, this is like the first voice you've ever heard and to your information I used the Voice app and it said I'm great than 30% of the people in the app, that's worth it"
I like this girl already, she's crazy and all gorgeous
"It's not that I don't remember everything " i turned to look through my window
"Yeah right"
We approached the gates labelled MH High on it's top, she parked the car carefully.
