Sarah rang the doorbell at 8 o'clock in the morning. My Dad yelled at me but it was my best friend and she did this every day of summer.
Sarah moved her blonde hair out from in front of her blue eyes, "Good morning Superboy, ready to go handle some business?"
I looked over my shoulder, seeing if my Dad was listening, "Sure, I guess. What do you have in mind?"
She fluttered her polka dot dress and adjusted her unneeded sun glasses, "Let's go move some things with your mind."
I adjusted my white t-shirt and pulled up my slacking jeans, "I'm ready if you are. Can we make it a challenge this time?"
She laughed, the cutest laugh ever, "Oh, trust me Superboy, it's going to be the hardest thing you've ever done."
She jumped off the porch, her dress acting as a parachute, and landed on her hands and feet which resulted in a pretty cool barrel roll.
I followed her as the wind tried to persuade us to go the other direction.
Sarah screamed just to see if the sound would follow the wind and hit my ears.
There was no need to scream, I could hear everything. It was part of the whole superpowers deal.
She knew that. She liked that.
As we entered the woods where Sarah led me, "Are you ready for the test of your life?"
I shrugged not expecting too much, "I guess. You know I can move cars without touching them and I can see through walls and all that right?"
She smiled, her teeth nice and straight, "Of course silly. This is going to be good Superboy. I have project for you. It's for us to enjoy and claim as our own"
I couldn't believe what she had in store for me.
It was truly going to be the test of all tests.
Not necessarily a test of strength but a test of precision and trust.
Sarah was very inventive and creative but she had certainly outdone herself here.
"Life can be confusing at times especially if you have super powers."
