XV: Meet

Over the weekend, the two decided to meet up at Lewis' house and Matthew is a little ecstatic. He is going to see a new part of Lewis – his very first friend. Matthew's school life is nothing out of the ordinary. No one flocked on him. He had other classmates to approach to but in a sort of academic-related kind.

Matthew and Liam had no interaction whatsoever. Even when he sees Liam and Lewis together, he did not pry into their lives until Lewis initiates that they hangout or have a short chat. Liam on the other hand, has his hands full of a lot of things. His boyfriend, some friends, and definitely the clubs he is affiliated in.

Matthew and Lewis would sometimes eat together. The times when they do not is when either one of them is busy with something. Matthew and Lewis would take their lunches with them and eat at the back of the library where there is a small garden, a couple of chairs, and a short round table.

During lunch, no one was there. Hardly anyone is there. The two both liked peace and eating at that place is somewhat special – at least that is what Matthew is thinking.

Matthew checked the time from his watch and it is almost time for him to go. Ten minutes before nine in the morning. He wore a simple beige hoodie with no print on the front and black jeans. He went downstairs and Grandma Star gave him a questioning look.

"Where you going, Matty? I made some cookies for us. Come sit." Matthew forgot to tell her beforehand that he is going to Lewis' place. "Just going to Lewis, we are doing a project together. Sorry, I forgot to tell you about that."

Grandma Star shrugged. "Oh, it's fine…" She reached out for container underneath the drawers. "Bring this with you." Matthew took it and kissed her goodbye. "When you coming back? Are you going to stay there late?"

Matthew thought for a moment. "Maybe? I don't know when we'll finish it."

"I don't mind you having to stay over there for the night. Bond a little you know. Boy's night or something like that." Matthew chuckled. "Boy's night?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I meant men's evening celebration." The elderly woman smiled at him with sass. "I'll just be calling you if I am going to be late."

"Alright hon, be careful."

Matthew arrived double checking if he was on the right house. Just as when he would knock. He saw Lewis outside holding two heavy grocery bags. Lewis is surprised that Matthew was there. Matthew spoke first. "What's inside those bags? Wait, did you just walk home carrying that?"

Lewis nodded. "I just did some groceries because I was running out of food for me and my dogs. I didn't notice the time." Matthew took both of the bags from his hands and Lewis opened the door.

The both of them is greeted by his three loving pets. "Guys! Guys! Calm down for a sec!" Lewis laughed and his laugh made Matthew grin. Just put that on the kitchen counter to your left. Matthew did that and Lewis followed him soon for a couple of seconds.
