XVII: Finally

"Stop acting so nervous, Lewis. You are making me feel dizzy just by looking at you." Matt said, although he understood why Lewis is feeling that way. The were waiting for the bus to their first destination: the hotel, then to the museum. Lewis got a last-minute call with the travel agent and they said there were some complications with the trip. Nonetheless, they were still there.

They thought it was only some minor detail and not really affect their finalized plans. Much to their dismay, it was a big one. Calling it a big one would be an understatement. The exhibit and resort they were about to visit after their trip to the museum had been sabotaged. The exhibit was burned down due a carbon monoxide leakage and the resort closed due to reasons the agents did not disclose because they too, were not sure.

Now, their trip has been highly compromised. What they agreed upon are the following: Museum, amusement park, and a one-day camping trip. They both dreaded the idea but what can they both do? That's right, nothing. They had no choice but to accept it. If they had not, all of their expenses would be wasted. No matter how awful camping sounds to both Lewis and Matthew, a two-day trip to three different museums with food and freebies included, made most of it.

"I know, but what if we got scammed? Think about it! How can they call us last-minute? I swear, I know we just got scammed." Lewis was so anxious not only with the trip but also having his money wasted. "Even if we both got scammed, to the very least we got scammed together." Lewis looked at Matthew angrily. Matthew just laughed.

"Look, the bus is here." Lewis got on first and as usual, he sat by the window after setting aside all his luggage. After Matthew did the same, he sat down and took out his earphones. Lewis directed his attention to the wonders by the window. "Hey Lewis…"

"Yeah?"

"Got any food there? I forgot to transfer mine inside this bag. All my snacks are inside my duffel bag." Lewis searched for a light snack in his own bag. "You good with Cheetos?" Matthew hummed. "Oh wow, my favorite flavor. Nice!"

"You like Flaming Hot Cheetos?" Lewis chuckled. "Yeah, me too. Best flavor."

"Agreed. Oh yeah, make sure to wake me up if we are nearly there."

"Yup, no problem."

The trip to the hotel they were staying at was a three-hour drive. The real journey starts by tomorrow. 'I hope we enjoy this one.' A lingering thought at the back of Lewis' head. 'I hope this is what we expected or else…' Lewis looked at Matthew. Matthew is looking at a Youtube video about a random cooking show while feasting on Cheetos. 'I hope we won't regret going on this one.'
