I changed career paths

Why did you choose to become a hero in the first place? What drove you to leave such a comfortable life to pursue becoming a hero? Was it fame? Did you want to prove to your mother you could do better even without her input? Or was it because you genuinely cared about the people in this hellhole? Whatever it was, it didn't matter anymore, there was no going back from what you did; for as long as you lived, your hands would be stained with blood.

There was no telling what Silias was thinking. One moment he'd be talking about how bored he was and the next he was planning out a murder. This time however, you would be the one to carry it out.

The air in the room was tense aa you stood awkwardly in between Silias and Blythe who were busy glaring at each other.

"Listen, I don't what's going through that head of yours but there's no way you're letting them carry out any one of your plans." Blythe said crossing her arms, glaring at the other. "These are high risk assignment and I know for a fact you have well trained individuals to carry this out."

Silias rolled his eyes," I suggest you stay out of matters that don't involve you. Besides, I'll be doing most of the work. At some point their going to get used to it. Life isn't exactly kind, you know?" He said going back into his seat. "You," he said pointing at you," will need to talk to Max to get the details for the next mission."

You had no idea what he had planned for you and honestly you wanted to part of his plan; but who were you to disagree? There's not much you could have done to stop him. You'd be stuck listening to him for the next few years of your life. Watching as people admired their precious model, one who could do no wrong in their eyes.

What a joke, if only they knew that he was the devil in disguise. Then again, even if people found out, they'd pin you as a liar if you didn't provide enough proof or rather proof that satisfied the public. Otherwise it would be game over for you. As a small time hero, you were never put in the spotlight, nor did you want too. You'd like to live tour life in peace; but with Silias, you could kiss any hope of living in peace goodbye.

You looked back at the two to see they were both still going at each other's throats, it reminded you of two people that you knew. You sighed, figuring this would last for the next few hours, you decided to get out of the room, if by chance they dragged you into their argument, you'd be done for.

If only they would ever shut up.
