Devonshire in Shambles

Hillsboro, Illinois – Residents of Devonshire, Illinois, are wasting no time in their exodus from the Midwestern community that was rocked by massive fires and explosions only two days ago. While the damage is still being assessed by the fire department, dollar estimates range well into the millions. Governor Pratt this morning declared Devonshire a disaster area, making the community eligible for much needed state funds. While some of the residents might breathe a sigh of relief, the governor’s declaration has deterred few from leaving altogether.

Deputy Police Officer Bucky Fasbinder, a ten-year veteran of Devonshire, said, “There’s no way I’ll ever live in Devonshire again, not after all this. You wouldn’t understand the things I’ve seen. This whole place has gone to Hades.”
