Group 9 Introduction

Rachael worked at the small diner in the city, their usual crowd was in today. She had her boring brown, stick straight hair pulled into a simple pony tail. She was exhausted, her feet hurt from wearing the signature black heels. She could deal with the short pencil skirt that was also black and the beige colored deep V-necked button up. But the heels were killing her! She glanced in the mirror behind the bar, noticing that she had bags under her eyes still.

“Rachael, go and apply more make-up.” Their boss, Sandra, hissed into her ear. She nodded and went to the back. She pulled out her bag and reapplied her red lipstick, gold eyeshadow and pink blush. She looked into the mirror and into her boring brown eyes. She rolled them. What was the point in make-up for her anyway? She looked horrible either way! That was when she heard a scream and crash.

“Millie! Stop!” she heard a man's voice scream. Rachael got up and looked outside the door. She saw a elder woman biting into another one of their regulars. Some pulled her back and the man she bit started to shake and convulse on the ground.

“What in the world...” she mumbled to herself. The old lady was growling, kicking and clawing to get back to him. Then, she stopped and turned on the ones holding her! The man she bit opened his eyes and attacked one of her fellow workers! There were screams and people started to panic! Then, some more people started to ram the door. Trying to get in! The door gave way as it was just glass. Those people started to go after others as well! Rachael backed back into the locker room and shut the door, locking it. She didn't stop looking at the carnage until the door shut.

She was breathing heavily, not able to control it for a minute. She knew she needed to call someone for help. So, 911 it was! That was, until it told her that it was down and if anyone was attacking people, to try and get away. As far away as possible! She sighed. Then, she looked around. She was in the locker room. This room had, maybe a window that she could climb out of? She felt like an idiot!

She had no one else to call, so she turned her phone off. She had been tossed from orphanage to orphanage her whole life. There was never a reason to make friends, no one stayed long enough to count to her. The last orphanage she figured to give it a shot. She knew it would be her last one after all and that she would be staying in the town. The same town she did now. She always planned on leaving it really. This town kind of held her back. She had met Megan when she was 16. They became friends, each other's only friend. They had went through the high school life together. Rachael had no crushes her whole life. Megan had many. Megan was a bright person who looked at things half full, which was opposite of Rachael.

One night, Rachael was working. She had been held back later than usual by her boss. She told Megan this, and Megan told her she was going to go to sleep then. Well, apparently, someone broke in after she went to bed. She said she remembered hearing something that woke her up a little. Then, a hand clamped over her mouth. Her hands were tied to the bed. She was raped that night and Rachael always blamed herself for it. The guy didn't even steal anything! Well, nothing besides sex....

Then, Megan had found out she was pregnant! She knew it was......his. She hadn't been with a guy for a while before it happened. She couldn't after. Megan killed herself, she left Rachael a note saying: Sorry, but I had to leave this world behind.

Rachael wrote her a note and left it in her coffin. It simply said: Why didn't you take me with you? Rachael thought of this now, she could hear the noise outside the door and knew that it would only be a matter of time before they reached this room. She had to think of some way to stay alive, and thankfully the radio that was playing in the dinner was shouting out some information for that!
