Chapter 20. Nothing else matters

I woke up for the first time with a feeling of joy that I hadn't had in a long time. I caressed my still flat belly knowing that there was the reason for that feeling of joy and even though it was still so small, my child gave me strength that I would never have thought I was capable of, it was the light of my hope.

I got out of bed to prepare for a new day, but for me it was like when I was preparing for the beginning of a new era.

I had driving lessons quite early in the morning, after which I was going to go to university.

Hmmm, the university was the one I was thinking of giving up because a baby and the university couldn't go together, but I don't regret the choice made, my priority was my child, my career could wait. So after the driving lessons I was going to go to university just to suspend all my future classes.

I went down towards the exit of the house, trying to avoid the family for the moment, but right before I left, I heard a well-known male voice.
