Chapter 21. The Surprise

Time seemed to fly. It was the day when I could earn a little self, if I passed the last test for my driver's license. Part of me was quite agitated and nervous. In just a few hours, a small part of my dream would come true. It was also my birthday and passing the driving test could be considered my gift, it was all I could wish for now.

It was 9am and my husband was nowhere to be found, most likely he hadn't even slept at home. For a few days Will had moved to another room under the pretext of not bothering me when he came late and left early. Whatever the real reason was, it really didn't matter, I wasn't bothered by his comings and goings but by his mere presence. I began to think what the hell I had found so attractive about him, I had probably only seen his appearance but which, combined with his character, caused me revulsion.

Today I couldn't let the thought of Will ruin my enthusiasm.
