The date

Megan and Victon plucked all the weeds in the back yard. Then head off to the market. Megan was still nervous as she walked by his side. Victon didn't feel any less anxious as she was feeling either.

Though they were both nervous and awkward, they didn't feel any discomfort being in each other's presence. Behind the couple a few meters back were two men who disguised themselves over black cloaks.

"Did you see that? He BLUSHED. That ice block BLUSHED!" Desmond exclaimed.

"You know I didn't want to believe it, even though I saw it with my own eyes, I still feel like I'm hallucinating" Hendery rubbed his eyes to see if he was dreaming.

"We better keep our distance, we'll be corpses if he found out."

"No shit Sherlock, this is his first date. He'll kill us if we interrupt." The two continued to follow the couple.

Megan and Victon arrived at the market. She looked around for any book stores or stands, and found an old looking book store with flower pots on its porch.

"Victon, let's go there!" Megan said pointing at the store. She hops to the store and opened the door that rung a bell. She was greeted by a smiley grandpa with a mustache, "oh welcome! Is there any books you are searching for?"

"Good afternoon! Yes, can you show me to the section for magic and fantasy?" Megan asked politely with a smile.

"Of course, come with me" said the grandpa as he lead the way through the small shop. They walked to the furtherest corner of the shop that had a small table with two chairs next to a window that provides sun light. "Alright, you can find the books on these shelves. I will leave you couple alone now."

"Oh, thank you and we're not a couple" Megan said with a blush.

"We're about to be one soon" Victon corrected her.

"Victon!"

The grandpa laughed and left to go back to his counter.

Victon chuckled at her cute pout. He sat down on the chair and watched Megan search through the shelves for books. "Are you still into dragons?" Victon asked.

"Yes, I do. Ever since you left I've asked Theodore to read more books to me about dragons and magical creatures." Megan replied.

"I still remember you got lost because of a book. You were crying so much that your eyes became puffy when we couldn't find your mother." Victon said laughing softly as he remembered how she adorable she looked.

"I was panicking at the time, okay? And remember that old book you had bought for me? I still have it."

"Speaking of the old book... you know when I was reading it to you I had this weird feeling" Victon started.

"What weird feeling?" Megan asked curiously.

"Remember how the girl in the book was described? She has black hair and grey eyes... just like you."

Megan shivered subconsciously and laughed, "it's just a tale Victon. I don't think it's true because who in this world have ever seen a huge winged creature flying pass the kingdom?"

"If dragons never existed then why were they drawn into old books and parchments? You never know if you can encounter one" Victon said nonchalantly.

"True, but it's just a coincidence that the girl in the book had the same hair and eye color as me." Megan convinced herself.

"Now that you're back Victon, are you going to become the Duke?" Megan changed the topic.

"Hm, I am. My father is starting to train me in that field" Victon replied.

"I can't believe that you are from the Yvonne family. Do you know how much of a shock you gave me last night?" Megan said with an accusing face.

"Haha I'm sorry" Victon chuckled. "But it's true, I'm determined to court you Megan. No tales were told."

She blushed and held up a book to hide her face. Taking some of her courage, she came out from hiding behind the book and said, "let's see if you can capture my heart! I'm not easy to win!"

"Didn't you say that you liked me back in the ball?" Victon threw the bomb at her with a broad smile. Megan's heart skipped a beat when she saw him smiling so handsomely.

"T-that was uh" Megan racked her brains trying to think of an excuse. While she was frantically thinking, Victon stood up and walked up to her. He knelt down on one knee, held her hand gently and said, "I'm serious about being in a committed relationship with you. I wish to spend my life by your side, but like you said I will have to capture your heart first." He smiled and kissed her hands.

Megan's brain once again shut down, as her face slowly flowed crimson red. "Victon, how are you so bold?"

"I thought it was better to be straight forward then going around in circles that might confuse you" Victon said looking up at her lovely blushed face.

"Well, that's reasonable... but I feel like we should take it slow. I like that you asked me on a date before kissing without consent or doing something else. If you did, I would've punched your third leg. I've knead dough for many years now, these arms have brute strength in them!" Megan warned puffing her cheeks out.

"Don't worry, I promise I won't do anything you wouldn't like" he chuckled at her fiery attitude.

Megan smiled sweetly then started to search for more books. She didn't realized that they were still holding hands, but Victon did. He was all smiley while she was busy searching for books.

"Okay Victon, I think three of these books are good" Megan said. She then felt warmth on her hand and saw that she was still holding his hand. As she was about to retract her hands, Victon held onto hers tighter.

"I'm sorry! I didn't realized...Um Victon your hand."

"Can we hold hands?" Victon asked softly as if he was pleading her to not let go.

Megan couldn't say 'no' to those puppies eyes and said, "sure."

The two went to the old man at the front to buy the books. "That will be twenty silver coins."

Megan was taking out her coins from her pockets, when Victon pulled out a gold coin to give to the grandpa. "Victon! It's okay I'm paying for it."

"It's okay Megan, I want to pay for my girlfriend. We are on a date after all" Victon said smiling brighter than usual.

"HAHAHA what a gentleman! Young lady you have good eyes for men!" The grandpa laughed as he packed up the books. Megan blushed and said thank you the old grandpa. They left the book store hand and hand.

"Desmond, are my eyes deceiving me? ARE THEY HOLDING HANDS?"

"HOLY SHIT!"

The twins gasps and jumped in excitement at the sudden development.
