Divine Insect Dragons

Spirit Mountain water source.

Long San returned to the morning to check on how effective his Grey Lord Caterpillars poison was and got more than he expected.

Over 100 dead carcasses of over level 40 spirit pets were laying toppled over by the pond. It seemed a heard of Divine Insect Dragons went to drink last night and got more than they bargained for from the water. It's a shame, he'd have to remove the poison now or one of the villagers nearby might die. Then, there was a great chance he couldn't do this again.

'GAl, go into your water and absorb the poison," Long San summoned out his Grey Lord Caterpillar and walked over to the carcasses. "Also, before you eat these today, I think I Should take the cores."

Spirit cores were worth a lot of money and roughly speaking one spirit core in the Divine Rank was worth 1000 medium grade Spirit Tokens. Of course, since spirit tokens were made out of spirit cores he could use this to buy things as well. He smiled and agility collected the 30 spirit cores from the beasts while his Insect floated to the center of the lake and began to collect its poison.

The Grey Lord Caterpillar was an omnipotent spirit pet, and had such great control of its poison that it could suck every last trace of it out of almost anything it killed. And since blood was mostly water, it had no trouble doing the same thing with the lake. Basically, it made it a nearly perfect assassin type spirit pet. Of course, one of his favorite things about it was how fast it could level up.

'It's one of the few spirit pets I found that can eat it's ways to higher levels. Other spirit pets require finding rare objects, or cultivation, but you are nearly the perfect pet. I don't know how you got me to go back in time, but right now, I can't wait to watch you grow.'

Long San waited patiently for his Lord Grey Insect to crawl over to him before it jumped up and started to voraciously devour the insect dragons. They were each roughly 3 meters long, and at least level 30 when they died yet his Lord Grey Insect seemed to devour them almost instantly.

'One of its innate abilities is called endless devourment. It can eat without getting full, and grow larger almost instantly.' Long San remembered why he went through such hell to get the Lord Grey Metaporh. "It's a shame it seemed the only thing that let you wake up was my death. Aya, I can't help but wonder how long it will be until you fall asleep again! You're such a blessing and the curse at the same time!"

Long San waited 10 minutes before he could finally leave with the Lord Grey Caterpillar fully satiated. He smiled, and put his hand on it to check his level. Though he wasn't as accurate of a level reader as a spiritual machine, he had spent almost 80 years with different spirit pet. He could roughly gauge its level with just his hand!

"Level 30 already… That means I'm going to show up as level 30 again. I guess I shouldn't feed you for a while," Long SAn looked down at his now meter long Grey Lord Caterpillar and nodded his head. "However, there is one other thing I want to test real quick. Silver String Insect, come out!"

"CLCLCLUR!" The Silver String Insect appeared in front of Long San almost immediately and dropped on the massive Lord Grey Caterpillar's head.

It was roughly 3 inches long, but seemed rather plucky for a little spirit pet. Like all spirit pets, it wished to serve its master more than anything else. Basically, one it committed to living inside Long San, it never had to work hard for food again, and plus the experience of being inside a spirit cavity was really pleasant.

1 out of every 100 spirit pets craved to be in a human's spirit cavity, or so the rumors said. Basically, Spirit Pets got a safe place and almost guaranteed spirit food from their masters in exchange for giving them abilities! It was natural that some spirit pets, that had to fight their entire lives would be willing to want to enter their spirit cavities. It was the same reason pets like dogs stuck around humans! They got to be fed in exchange for pleasing their masters! It was the same thing with these spirit pets!

Long San smiled and rubbed the Silver String Insect. It looked really happy to finally be called out instead of the monster living beside it in Long San's spirit Cavity. "Gal… Do you think you can help this little insect get stronger? Since you're an omnipotent spirit pet, you should have some effect on other insects development right?"

'Yes, I do,' Gal responded and nodded its head. 'In exchange for me giving up 5 levels of my spirit power, I can probably get it to become a divine ranked spirit pet!'

"Do it quickly," Long San said, crossing his arms and closing his eyes. "I believe a girl I was hoping would take your antidote just swallowed it. I'll be ordering her around while you do that. Tell me if anything comes up and you need my help."

"Will do," Gal nodded his head while the little Silver String Insect smiled happily. "Good luck controlling that girl. Haha, I can tell even from here that she's a beauty."

Han Residence, Dawn

In the morning, when a girl would normally be stuck in her bed staring at the sky, she was getting up and walking around. Her eyes were bright and looked like they were full of hope.

She took something Han Mel told her to drink and a few hours later she felt better. She never imagined in a million years she'd feel so good again. She could move her feet, and even felt limber. She might even be able to get her first spirit pet now! She'd no longer be the handicap of the family.

"Go to the basement,"

'Who said that,' Han Ola said while she trembled. She looked at herself in the mirror once and suddenly trembled. A man seemed to be staring back at her made out of all black. "What will happen if I don't go to the basement?"

'Go, this is an order," Long San said one more time before Han Ola felt her legs beginning to move. Suddenly, her eyes that had been bright and full of life looked dull and completely meek. Long San smiled while he sat with his eyes closed. She was indeed in his full control.

'You're beautiful,' Long San looked at her in the mirror through her own eyes and then ordered her to open the door. 'Hmmm, go into your fathers' room first actually.'

The mansion Han Ola lived in had 100 rooms and only so many that Long San could check in the three hours he'd be able to control Han Ola. If it was anyone else, the most he could do is control them for a few seconds, but Han Ola hadn't gotten a single spirit pet her entire life! He ordered her to go into her father's room.

It was a fancy, palatial room with enough ritzy objects that he had no doubts. This was definitely the room where he'd hide his best treasure.

'I won't be able to use spirit cores any time soon to make purchases. It's best if I get spirit tokens. I'm hoping to buy some expensive spirit pet carcasses for the Grey Lord Caterpillar, and in addition might even find a spirit pet I want to purchase.'

'The only problem is if I use spirit cores they will wonder how I got them. Spirit tokens can be traced back to the spirit core they were made in. It should be no problem for me to use them without anyone getting suspicious.'

Long San made Han Ola open all her dad's possessions and by the end of it found roughly 2000 spirit tokens of medium grade lying around. He smiled, and had her tuck them between her shirt.

'Right now, I can see everything that Han Ola sees. What a nice house,' Long San ordered Han Ola to go down stairs towards the Han Vault. The few people that would normally be in the house were out right no registering Han Man to fight Long San. It was the perfect timing. 'Now let's see, do you know how to get into the vault?'

'Yes, I do," Han Ola nodded her head. 'Would you like me to go into the vault master?'

'Yes, but only take things that won't be missed, and then come meet me by the forest with the coins,' Long San opened his eyes and stopped focusing on Han Ola. "NOw, let's see how my spirit pets developed."
