Antidote with Consequences

Long San waited in front of the machine for a number to appear, but after a few seconds he realized he broke it.

A large dent was in the center of the machine and a few students had fallen over in fear.

"Well, they did say every rank of spirit pet adds an incremental increase in strength. I'm guessing since I have an omnipotent spirit pet, my strength increased more than I thought. I should've held back more."

"You-you broke the machine. Only someone with a punching power over 2000 could do that. I-I can't fight you, hahaha! Tell your teacher I apologize!" Han Mel crawled back while a few of the other students also trembled. "I-I apologize Long San! My sister is paralyzed. Do you want to go visit her?"

"I made a miscalculation and accidentally crushed a strength talisman my teacher gave me," Long San took a paper out of his pocket and laughed. "I measured my real strength earlier. It was only at 700."

Long San dropped the talisman on the floor next to Han Mel before he immediately looked back and noticed everyone laughing at him. HE-he'd never been so embarrassed before in his life! A strength talisman increased the strength of the person he used it for a few seconds by a large amount! He-he wanted to cry! He swore right now he'd kill Long San!

Long San smiled and patted him on the head before pointing at the area. "So, what do you say? You going to fight me now little sheep?"

"I'm going to crush you for embarrassing me!" Han Mel stood up and tried to push Long San before he felt his arm stopping from advancing. His divine rank spirit pet seemed to be telling him not to attack him. Ah, this didn't make any damn sense. "I-I'm going to fight you tomorrow! I don't care what my family says!"

"Very good, here, give your sister this, and tell her its from me," Long San took out a small bottle. "This is from my teacher who also gave me that strength talisman. Have her drink it, will you?"

"What? Is this really an antidote?" Han Mel looked at the bottle and suddenly felt bad. "Why would you give this to me?"

'Because the person who drinks the antidote of the Grey Lord Caterpillar will be able to be controlled for a few hours if I want them to be.' Long San patted Han Mel on the shoulder. "Now, tell your sister to drink it before night time. I know you don't believe me, but you also know I'll die if I injured her right?" Long SAn brushed off Han Mel's back and then walked towards the exit. "Anyways, everyone, just a reminder, if you tell anyone about my teacher I'll kill you. See you all later."

Blue Merchant Manor.

Long San's father was ready for the White Palace party, and so was Long San. He figured he'd tell his father later about wanting to fight in the ring tomorrow. After all, his father would have to file out paper work, and he didn't want to ruin his night.

His sister, Long Ye, walked down the stairs in a white dress. She was so beautiful that he was somewhat annoyed. He almost forgot she got slaughtered as horribly as her father.

"We used to have quite a bond. I guess I forced myself to forget she existed because her death was so terrible," Long San smiled at his sister. She hardly ever came outside because she was sick, but their father probably forced her today. "Sister, you look beautiful today. After the party, we should definitely talk for a little while. I want to test something to see if I can cure you."

"Cure me? I've been sick for three years, older brother," Long Ye hugged Long San and gently backed away. She had really cute black hair and dimples with eyes that seemed like wells of both beauty and suffering. "Hehe, if you cure me, I'll have no way to thank you. Now, stop giving me hope, let's go."

'She was definitely poisoned by someone. This is the second girl I sensed poison in since I got sent back." Long San pondered while he got into the carriage. "Oh well, I'm sure whomever is responsible I'll kill soon. There are only 10 sects and perhaps 100 vice elders that could have such a powerful poison. Hmmm, i wonder which asshole will die first."

Long San looked annoyed as he waited online to go into the White Palace.

They had gotten invited, but that didn't mean they got to go into the special entranceway.

The White Palace was the White Sects most beautiful building and was made completely out of glass. It had a dome that was melted together by powerful spiritual pet builders using the best spiritual machines. His father's manor didn't even hold a candle to this place.

'So annoying. Is no one going to try and kill my father tonight? Did they just want to embarrass him by making him wait last on line."

There was a rule in Spirit Mountain that those from the weakest sect always had to wait at the back of the line. It was a rule to get those from the other sects to want to compete with each other. Basically, everyone who came from a higher ranking sect would walk in front of his father.

Even Ran Sen and his family had been invited from the 9th rank sect. This was clearly and obviously meant to smack his father so hard in the face he could barely see straight.

Long San was quite a bit annoyed, but didn't show it. He'd been humiliated at lot worse than this in his last life. For thirty years, after all, he only had one spirit pet. The things he had to do to survive were quite numerous and frankly hard to recall.

"Hoh, if it isn't Long San?" An Lorn said, walking to the back of the line with a beverage in his hand. "The man who has made his affections known to two of my sisters. Do you care for a drink?"

'Oh great, the strange ass brother has come to see me," Long San rolled his eyes and turned his back to him. "I forgot, the An family is part of the White Sect. Though they are a fairly low ranked family, they are still technically part of it, aren't they?"

Each Sect had on average ten different families that were inside of them. The Blue Merchent Guild, for instance, had 6 different families that were all merhent families. His father, the leader of the merchant families, was called the core family. However, a core family from the worst guild was nothing compared to an external family in the White Sect like the An Family. After all, the White Sect was the 3rd ranking family!

"Did you hear me Long San! I have a drink for you!" An Lorn started to trip and fall before he shot the drink in his hand at Long San's face.

Long San sighed before he stepped back and dodged the incoming liquid. 'What a pain. He's so childish. No way he's the one who tried to kill my father. Too dumb.'

"Ah I fell! I'm sorry Long San," An Lord held up his head expecting to see Long San soaked. "Wait, what happened? I-I was certain that would've hit you in the face."

"An Lorn" Long San's sister said, "Can you please go ask your father if he can make this line move faster. My legs are beginning to hurt."

"I-I'm sorry, I can't do that." An Lorn shook his head. "You are from the weakest sect after all. My father invited hundreds of guests tonight to announce something! He found an extremely rare spirit pet treasure."

'Oh yeah, I remember this.' Long San looked at his sister trembling and sighed. 'They never had a party about it. They found the shell of a godranked insect that they offered to the Tang Dynasty for more resources. It gets the White Clan promoted next year to the second rank sect. Funny, this party seems literally just to smack my father in the face. Last time, they kept i a secret. This isn't a party, this is a showing."

"This spirit treasure can only be seen until 11 PM though. So, please, don't worry Long Ena. Your legs probably will be fine! Now, ah, let me go get another drink! Maybe see you all inside."

"I-I Should've known better!" Long San's father slammed his foot down. He would've destroyed a nearby tree if he could. "This-this is all to spite me for losing that lost trade route! However, what was I supposed to do? Fight off a level 50 wild Spirit pet by myself?"

"Father, take Long Ena home," Long San pat his dad on the back. After all, there was many more things he could do alone then when they were here. "I'll stay here tonight to save you face."

"Hmph, you sure?" Long San's father shook his head. He looked so disappointed in himself that he nearly cried. "I-I'm sorry! If only I was stronger, If only I didn't lose your mother that die, I-I could get us back to being in the top 5 sects!"

"Go," Long San sighed and crossed his arms in annoyance. "I'll make sure tonight, by the time I leave, that no one forgets we were here."
