Chapter 112: LOST SOULS

Lluming was staggering, and couldn't even walk a straight path,

As he laid down carelessly, to the grass, vomitting blood.

He got reminded that he was no longer fully a spirit,

Not as invincible as his comrades, now much easier to defeat.

Despite it, he felt the need to keep going,

There's still much he hasn't accomplished, and he can't rest with people dying.

As he continued to walk, he heard the chaos and madness present in the arena,

Of how demons fled for their lives, now his thoughts quickly went back to Sellena.

Wasn't she always by Asmo's side?

No...what if between the commotion she's harmed or died?

The horror of losing another dear one made him run towards the danger,

Even though weak himself, he still disguised himself, though she'd recognize him a stranger.

Sellena, was shivering at the bloody mess in front of her,

Asmodeus was barely moving, and it brought everyone concern, even the stone cold Lucifer.

Satan felt piss more than anything else,

The fool child would do anything, just so Sellena wouldn't have left.

Sellena knew she was the roots of his demise,

Recalling the event before things went wild.

The quick sequence of Uriel noticing her frightened face,

And the ever more furious and sloppy actions of Asmodeus, whose heart's ablazed.

The fifth Lord was quick to attack,

Losing his amulet, as Uriel took him by shock.

His precious object cracked in Uriel's shoes,

As Asmodeus was left with not much to choose.

Uriel kept hurting him, as Asmodeus keeps tightening his grip,

Sellena tried to open the barrier, but it failed, and she've never felt so weak.

But Uriel only looked at her, as if some things he holds and know,

Sellena then remembered a dream, in which Uriel's face was shown.

He was the angel who protected her all along,

The one who gave her the protection, ever since she was born.

Unbeknownst to many, Uriel was chosen to choose the woman of destiny,

But was then tasked that it could only be a woman of chastity.

He pretended to be affected by the barrier the first times it showed,

Making everyone believe, that the barrier is set by someone else, it worked.

It lined perfectly without much suspicion,

As Sellena's ancestors, had the same blood of magic, and creation.

Even Michael was unaware of the purpose Uriel really played,

Of why he chose her, of why he hid it to his friends,

This time however, he cannot risk being overpowered by the demon,

He tried his best, though it wouldn't be as easy for it to be over.

He temporarily closed the barrier,

As he let Sellena watch things closer,

Sellena yelled Asmodeus to stop,

But the demon was completely taken by Wrath.

His usually brown horns turned to black,

As his eyes grew red, and his surroundings hot,

The demon summoned his other objects,

Aiming it at Uriel, who tried to block it with his defenses.

Locked by his chain, he felt it hard to form barriers,

As Asmodeus called for help, as his last resort,

The main seven were scattered afar,

But Belphegor heard him back.

The pain the Fifth lord felt, he all took in a gulp,

As he cannot imagine, losing her at all,

Uriel shot him a hot blinding light,

As Asmodeus screamed, while he shut his eyes.

He gagged, and realized that he's losing so much blood,

While Sellena kept reminding him, that his actions won't give rewards,

Ignoring her pleas, so to not look soft to Lucifer,

He kept fighting Uriel, so his fondness of Lluming could be covered.

He was angry at Uriel, sure,

But he's doing it for a double purpose,

When the archangel fell down, as he lost the battle,

Asmodeus knelt on the ground, the pain he can no longer handle.

Belphegor made sure they won't harm Asmodeus again,

But the demon was half-blind, as Sellena wonders if Uriel's dead.

When she saw the frustration in Michael's eyes,

She couldn't help, but herself cry.

She saw the two sides, her two protectors,

Fight for their lives, as they lay in front of her.

She knew that siding with the devil is bad,

That it wasn't part of her plan.

And yet she was only alive because of his mercy,

So he looked at Michael, before whispering, "Sorry,"

Michael saw and only nodded,

As the wounded Uriel, he softly craddled.

Michael screamed in agony,

As Sellena kept crying completely.

Holding Asmo's hand she told him she wasn't angry,

That she understands his actions, although they were enemies.

The once always cheery and responsive demon didn't spoke one word,

As Belphegor yelled, "Assist the fifth Lord!"

Lucifer immediately looked at him with shock,

Wondering what effect it would bring to the demon of Wrath.

The aftermath of Uriel's plan left a mark on both sides,

As Lluming who was on his way, failed to arrive.

A reaper, who recognized the aura on his body,

Told him to come with him, and forsake his mission, as the moment's risky.

Lluming, who felt weak by that point,

Has no choice left, but to rejoin.

Before he leaves, he looks at the devil's huge infrastructures,

Wondering if Sellena, and him, would continue to meet in the future,

He felt his heart stir with unexplainable emotions,

As he now turned back, from the picture of destruction.

...

A crying Callista clung unto Humility's arms,

As the reaper quickly told her, she's now safe from harm.

Despite the words she's recieved,

She couldn't help, but to continue to grieve.

She was aware Uriel planned the whole thing for Michael and her,

That the archangel of chastity, is dead because of her,

She felt responsible, since she failed to complete her task,

That she should have just stayed, and not then asked.

She kept crying as the other reapers wait for the chief's arrival,

And when he was present, his eyes were still in shock and denial.

They all laid silent, hoping not to disrupt his grieving,

As Humility told the reapers, to not ask any questions to him.

Michael's knees fell to the ground,

As he let his tears flow, as his fingers carress the mound,

He didn't care if the reapers see his vulnerability,

He had his limit, he's been holding for what felt like eternities.

He wanted to ask why,

But knew it was God's plans,

He just continued to cry,

Refusing to wipe the tears with his hands.

He wanted as soon to heal,

He wanted to forget the traumatic experience easily,

But the sky reminds him of Uriel,

The heavens, the snow, and wind.

The crowd never did judge his actions,

They all had felt the same way before,

And not long after new batch of reapers held their own rescues,

But was all shocked of Michael, who's lost and confused.

Ken arrived, and so was Lluming,

Both of which, didn't saw this scene coming,

Lluming never thought that the angel of strength and control,

Who've seen deaths take place a million times,

would suddenly like a child, cry and groan.

He felt his deepest symphaty and his respect grew more,

He wasn't perfect, and was like them after all.

Michael sensed the familiar soul behind,

And when he saw Lluming in flesh, his relief he cannot hide.

He embraced the angel, after realizing Uriel's light chose him,

Even if he's young, brash and impulsive,

Uriel saw something, great about Lluming,

And saw some evil, that he wanted to cleanse from him.

Michael didn't yell at Lluming, nor did he lecture him like before,

He knew Lluming had his own reasons, and needs to heal from his own wounds and all,

Ken could only watch, and assest the situation,

As he felt his visions blur, a scene of before taking action.

He hissed in pain, catching most of their attention,

Michael then saw him, and was worried of his reaction.

Despite his pain, he decided to rise quickly,

Helping those who need him, which Lluming admired greatly.

He saw his concern, his sincerity,

As he thanked the reapers, for aiding Uriel, the angel of purity,

He asked them to keep helping one another,

Till the world, is then devoid of all monsters.

Tears of relief could be seen,

They lost, but won something in change,

They had their sole chief, and the games can still rebegin,

But to the devils, only defeat if what they recieved.

...

Azazel felt heavily disappointed,

As he saw the number of demons, to him had been appointed.

Three main lords had been wounded badly,

Leviathan, Asmodeus, and Mammon respectively.

Beelzebub was lucky to be near with Satan,

Or else he would have ended like Leviathan,

Legs were all quite badly crushed,

As for Mammon, his hand was then dettached.

Asmodeus was painted in his own blood however,

As Satan frowned, even with reminding himself he's a fighter.

Asmodeus barely moved, and wasn't responding much like Levi,

Satan was so afraid, that his foster son could die.

Lucifer felt the most pain, however,

As despite his cruelty, he still feels a bit of concern for the three he sheltered,

He made sure that their pain would be avenged,

For the time they heal, no more will be the angels.

Elenchos watches from the side,

His eyes staring blankly, as his fists were clenched tight,

Satan noticed the change in his eyes,

The young demon took twenty years to realise.
