Chapter 113: ACCEPT HE'S DEAD

The skies poured rain, saddened by the passing of Uriel,

While the grieving angels sung their songs, of love and farewell.

At the center, Michael stood with an expression one cannot paint,

As those around him, simply kept resisting their unheard wails.

Michael held Uriel's broken ear piece, the small shard that he had saved,

As he looked at the sky, thankful for the sacrifice his friend has made.

Uriel was kind and smart, so Michael considered he knew he's doomed from the start,

He always looked out for everyone, but behind his cheerful smile, he may have been suffering a lot.

He knew the importance and the virtues the other archangels hold,

But his importance, weren't much considered in this world.

Chastity, the very virtue most failed to uphold,

He may have felt he failed, as the world had failed to do what's told.

Michael realized that Uriel could have had very little self-love,

Since he chose to look out for everyone, foremost and above.

He wept his tears, hoping he could have stayed strong right from the beginning to end,

Yet even so, would his destiny play any different?

He continued to hold the shard as he prayed,

While it slowly vanished into air,

"The very last thing that was of Uriel,"

"No, as long as the skies exists, he's here with us still,"

Michael said nothing more,

Wondering when the pain will go,

Raphael patted his back, assuring him that the Lord,

Had plans for all of them, since the day they were born.

Ken observed the huge cave, protected by thick barriers,

That those angels holding their hands so they remain intact, looked kinda sickly and tired.

He clenched his fists hoping to help them all,

But all this ratio of failures, were higher than battles they won.

Mar held his hand, hoping to make him feel better,

But Ken was distracted, by the small number of angels and reapers.

The humans weren't as many as he had expected too,

Even the poor children, were surprisingly few.

How much left were of humanity?

Will they survive till this world is then freed?

Ken held his head, as to those questions he melt,

How can he know how all things are set?

For so long he had only been able to visit further into the past,

And very short glimpses of the future, quite fast,

He wondered just how his visions would work according to what he wanted,

Or if this was just a mere gift, that isn't controlled but recieved.

Ken held his head, as he felt foolish memories of his young self show,

Even with powers, he still don't feel like a hero.

Lluming looked at him, with pity in his eyes,

Ken's too human, for the power in his hands.

He has many weaknesses, than those of advantage,

Lluming felt afraid, in the end, he'd be ravaged.

He just couldn't until now believe, that the last seer would be like him,

An average built man, who looked like he barely eats,

He wanted to know more about what up to now he accomplished,

So to be assured, that he could truly bring the world safety and peace.

Lluming smiles again,

as he whispered to himself,

"The very rare seer, a power not all could bear,

Managed to land unto Ken, just when the demons draw near,"

...

Raphael asked Michael directly, of who had killed their friend,

"It was Asmodeus, with his powerful strikes and chains,"

Before that however, Uriel managed to defeat other legion leaders,

But when Asmo's weapons reached his chest, he cannot go on any further,"

Michael's face still look pained, as he recalled the unwanted events,

While Lluming felt shocked, that Asmo himself, was the one who killed their friend.

Just as when he's about to spare him of his revenge,

The fifth Lord did something unforgiveable, that further fueled his rage.

"And right before Uriel completely parted,

His glow chose Lluming, as his newly annointed,"

Most eyes were then fixated on Lluming,

Some looked at him with smiles, while other were clearly doubting.

After all, he's not the kindest angel there is,

He's flawed, stubborn, quite hard to work with.

Raphael looked at Lluming and softly smiled,

"I trust and support you, please make this blessing, worth its while,"

Lluming only nodded, as he left the place without a word,

The judgement in majority's eyes,

were telling him the responsibilty, he'd fail to uphold.

"Talk to him, will you? I'm quite worried,"

Michael only nodded, "Lluming is just hurt, but I know he's sorry,

Since young, he's quite sensitive,

but deep inside, I know he's a good kid,"

Raphael only agreed with him, as he helped the other angels to hold the barrier,

Making them change shifts, as the skies grew darker,

Amidst the war, they can't mourn for much longer,

Since the other side, does so to, with their deceased leaders.

Selaphiel, looked at Raphael's eyes,

He noticed that they don't seem as bright.

He felt worried, and asked him right away,

"Ah, I'm sorry, but I'm really okay,"

Raphael hid his thoughts as he continued to help the angels,

But in his mind, was sadness and frustrations held in for days.

He had trouble giving his thoughts, afraid it'd offend anyone,

And now he may never let them out, since Uriel is truly gone.

...

Michael followed Lluming, unto a dark deep space,

Lluming felt confused, his mind in a haze.

He turned around, after noticing he had been followed,

"Sir Michael, I...I'd rather be solo,"

"I know you're still angry, but you have to calm down,"

"How can I?? When Uriel chose me, anyhow!

I would have been better fighting alone for revenge!

But now I have more responsibilities, that those angels knew I cannot fend!"

"Revenge? Revenge, revenge and another senseless revenge,

Such thoughts will only bring little to no change,

You need to let Eleazar go, so his memories won't be tainted,"

"He's experimented on! I saw him, and he's different,"

"That is not him, if he sided with those monsters,

Lluming, think wider and clearer,

Stop living on the delusion that you can bring the dead back,

He's not Eleazar, he's not the person you looked up to, and loved a lot,"

"I love him, that's why I'm going to avenge him,

I gained one of the Main seven's trust, I can fool him,

Just one leap further and I could make them hurt as well!

I could make them suffer, and to their knees beg and bend.

You would have understand, right?

After all, you just lost your friend tonight,

You know the pain I feel inside my chest,

Since you, sir Michael... you know more than less,"

"I loved and cared for my friend-Uriel,

But to blindly avenge him, and to go to hell,

I am not that stupid, I know he's gone,

There's not much things, I could have done.

Even if I wanted for all of the demons to die,

Would killing them without a plan make me satisfied?

Lluming, I know you're saddened and desperate to kill whoever's responsible for Eleazar,

But think of what you need to do this time, for us,

More lives could be saved if you set your pride aside,

You always think impulsively, always your heart without much mind,"

"Like you said before, I am different,

I am impulsive, always quick to violence,

But I still know what's wrong and right,

Hurting those demons-" "Lluming! Is it worth risking your life?"

Lluming quiet down for a few moments, as he rethink his decisions,

But he quickly replied,

"I can't back down, I pledge a promise to complete this mission,"

Michael sighed, and quickly went over his back,

Lluming felt scared, that Michael would attack.

The swift movement, left no room for him to react,

And than simply protect himself, he froze like a rock.

Than what he expected, he recieved a hug,

As Michael squeezed tightly, making Lluming question, "What?"

And just as when he was about to fight him off,

He felt real tears, in his eyes then formed.

It's just what he needed at the moment,

A hug of comfort, that would relieve him of his torment,

He felt responsible for the death of Eleazar,

If only Eleazar accepted to be an archangel,

He wouldn't have been affected by Lucifer's hardening spell.

Eleazar chose not to, because of him,

And now Lluming, believed it was his sin,

However, Michael's embrace assured him he's wanted,

That he doesn't need to do anything all by himself.

"Lluming, aren't you lonely, fighting alone?

Please come back to us, your refuge, your home,

You are still our Lluming, although your dearest friend is gone,

Please, let your pride go, and rethink of what you've done.

Did your stay there, made much difference?

Did your sacrifices, did more for your promise?

Do you think Eleazar would have been happy,

When he sees you like this, suffering and angry?

He loves you, and he wouldn't want you to do anything to avenge his passing,

He sees you as his world, and wouldn't want you to be hurt by anything,

Please, if not for us, then do this for his memory,

You are the biggest proof, of Eleazar's legacy.

If you're gone, then his sacrifice would have been in vain,

So please, save yourself from further pain,

It's okay to cry, to break down,

But don't let the pain, cost you your crown.

Don't let it decieve you, make you just like the very creatures that killed him,

Don't let it, Lluming, please keep resisting.

I know you're strong, and you can fight the urges,

I believe and trust Eleazar's words, that you are more than this.

That you're special..

That you can be like Eleazar,"

Tears continued to stream from his eyes,

As Lluming continued, to publicly cry,

He lowered his defenses, and let his vulnerabilities show,

Hoping the pain and hurt, would all quickly go.
