Hunting For Genes, The Mist

It has been a day after writing the book, The First Monsters. Elizabeth continued her way towards the west until she found something interesting. In the Endless Forest which was very big was a mist that was blocking it, She was very curious about what was the thing that was blocking her way.

The Mist Stretches in an unknown length and also it was very tall that it could rival the tallest mountain which was the big mountain that Elizabeth found before going here, She was very curious on what this Mist was and just stands right in front of it.

She was currently looking right at the mist with curious eyes and discovered that she cannot see the other side, The Mist was very thick and how did the Mist become this big. It was not possible for this kind of thing to be a natural phenomenon,

'What is this?' Elizabeth thought while standing at the front of the mist, She turns her nonexistent head sideways and found that the mist stretches for thousands of kilometers or possibly more. Although her calculations seem to be over the top, She was doing this so that nothing can shock her anymore.

'A mist blocking my way, What do I do?' Elizabeth thought, She just cannot turn back just because there was a mist blocking her way. She wasn't someone like that, And going back would be just her wasting time for no reason.

'I have no choice but to get in.' Elizabeth did an Imaginary sigh, She didn't have a choice but to get in the mist. She was also curious at the things that would happen to her if she entered the Mist, There was nothing she could do and she couldn't just give up.

'Let's go.' Elizabeth thought, Her blob slime body slowly rolled towards the Mist. She was rolling at a cruising speed, Not fast and Not slow. She entered the Mist quite easily, As she expected something stopping her, Elizabeth continued at her cruising speed, and as time passes Elizabeth disappeared from the Mist.

Elizabeth was still passing through the mist and it seems that the mist was like a never ending cloud of white gas, She looked around her area and the ground looked the same. It was flat, Elizabeth expected that she must be in some kind of grassland since the ground looked flat for her and trees weren't around.

'Where the hell am I going?' Elizabeth thought, It has been half an hour when she was passing through the Mist. And Her speed was her own cruising speed which was 75 kilometers per hour, This means that the mist is very thick and with the accountability about the flat ground which made the travel much easier.

Elizabeth continued rolling through the mist, She was slowly getting nervous since her vision was now clouded by the mist. She was still passing through it with her cruising mode and she always looked around her position every time as she was careful if something would attack her from the dark.

'I need to be careful.' Elizabeth thought while looking around her area, All she heard was silence. Pure silence was currently around her which made the whole thing creepier, Silence is something that signifies that there is something dangerous in this Area. Elizabeth knew this and prepared her skills, Her Control in the Elements seems to be very low here which means many things and also brought many problems right next to her.

She looks around and uses her Sense, She thought that the skill would work but the Sense Radar was blocked and was only applicable 5 meters around her. This is a really not good thing for her and will make her essentially blind.

'I am Blind here.' Elizabeth thought, She was still rolling at her cruising speed. She didn't intend on stopping since stopping here in the middle of the mist would be her death. So she continued on her speed without worrying about the enemies that could possibly be hiding right next to her.

While she was rolling at her speed she felt something shaking, When she felt this she quickly looked around her area and couldn't see anything. She stopped at her speed and with the shake, she knew that there was something here, Although she didn't plan to stop. She wanted to kill the enemy before it causes more problems for her.

'What was that.' Elizabeth thought, She was currently frozen since her instincts told her with a shouting voice. It seems that her instincts were stopping her from continuing and from this perspective she also decided to kill the enemy so that there wouldn't be any problems later which she would take care of.

After a while later, Elizabeth who was frozen didn't find any enemy from her location. But her instincts were still shouting and forcing her to stop from continuing, She looked around the area and found that there was no one around other than her. The Mist also made it harder to see her whole surroundings which is why she always double checks it.

And when she was looking around the area, The Shake was felt again and this shake was stronger than before. The sound of footsteps echoed through the Mist and the shaking earth and the crumbling rocks also echoed with it. It was like something was going out from its wake and after a while of waiting she finally saw it.

'What the-' Elizabeth thought as she stared at the distance, It was only a moment but she clearly saw it. The Monster that would make Momma an ant in front of it, Why does a monster like this exist. Elizabeth had many thoughts about the monster but most of them were telling her to escape and run away from the monster, But she just cannot move her body when she saw the monstrosity.

The monstrosity's Height was unimaginable and Elizabeth clearly knew that she was looking at the monster from a faraway view. This was the shocking part, The Big monster blocks the whole view of the sky and its body looks like an entire sky on its own. With this fact, the Monster is very big that its legs are the only thing the clouds could touch which is very weird.

This Creature or monster has 6 or more legs that were thin but it was probably thick and only looks thin due to the fact that Elizabeth was comparing it to the body which was very huge. It also had a large eye that could possibly cover the tallest mountain on the mountain range that Elizabeth discovered before leaving her home.

The monster continued to walk and after a minute later, Elizabeth finally got a hold of her body. Her Blob slime body was shaking on its own probably due to the fear that was caused by the monster. Feeling the helplessness is a really not good feeling for Elizabeth and the monster that she saw made her know that she needed to get stronger fast.

'I need to continue!' Elizabeth thought, She then continued rolling out towards the direction she was headed. She didn't bother using her cruising speed and was currently rolling at 100 kilometers per hour with stop. Elizabeth totally wanted to leave this place and she also didn't want to pass through this place ever again.

An hour later of rolling at her max speed, Elizabeth saw a light that came from in front of her. It was like a star in the mist which made her very excited, She continued rolling towards the place at a fast speed and thought that the Mist was now going to an end.

'The Exit!!' Elizabeth thought, The Star in front of her was slowly getting stronger which signifies that this was the exit of the mist. With this thought, Made her feel the hope of leaving this godforsaken place.

She was also regretting that she passed through this place, Elizabeth assumes the best assumptions she could get from the big monster's sizes but that monster she was in the mist was something more and was very creepy that she would break down if she had more emotions that she currently have.

As the Star in front of her slowly getting bigger and as she slowly was getting near it. The growth of the star shone brightly and the Exit was seen. This Made Elizabeth go through it at a fast speed and with the rolling of Elizabeth, she passes through the exit without a problem.

When she passed through the exit, She failed to stop her body from rolling and she crashed onto a tree causing it to break itself apart by the force. Elizabeth didn't mind the crash as she was just happy that she managed to leave the place.

'Where am I?' Elizabeth thought, She knew that she was currently on some grassland but she didn't know where she was. She needs to know the information about this place so that she could go home safely without getting lost, She then turns her body and looked in the direction where the mist came from.

And when Elizabeth turn her body and looked in that direction, She saw something very shocking.

The Mist wasn't there anymore.....
