Book 10

It was now a moment to breath and bury the dead.

The Mercy Dogs of Archangel Michael were aiding the wounded soldiers to peacefully pass over to the care of Azrael and his assistants and dogs.

" We have a lot of work ahead of us, " said Troke.

" It is a noble duty, " said the Grim Reaper.

" I did not say that it was not, " said Troke with a smile.

" Will you two focus? We have a lot of work to do " said Azrael, as he went over to a dying warrior; who was playing with a Mercy Dog and one of Azrael's dogs.

The wounded warrior saw something which the living will only see once, he was looking at Azrael.

" I guess that it is that time " said the warrior with a faint giggle.

" It is, " said Azrael with a gentle smile.

" I have only one request, if I may be so bold… "

" Yes? "

" Could these two dogs join me along the way? " asked the warrior.

Azrael just giggled.

" I don't see why not, and I doubt that Michael would mind " said the Archangel of Death.

The warrior's soul now left his body, and with the two hounds, he walked towards his resting place.

And things continued on like that.

Even Ur-Shanabi and Oannes were gentle to the new souls, and both Ereshkigal and Lucifer welcomed the new souls to their respective kingdoms.

Abaddon also showed loving care for those in his domain, while the rest of the angels took those deserving up to heaven; to rest for eternity.

The corpses were buried, while the Abrahamic priests said some prayers, as the Babylonien priest/sorcerers cast some spells using Šurpu and Maqlû; to aid the fallen in the afterlife.
