After bath, Young-mi dressed herself with one of the personally made dresses that were in the wardrobe. The dresses all fitted comfortably as they had a seamstress to measure her size the other day at the hospital and had the dresses custom made.
The dresses were completely different to that of murim, but she still manages to remember how to put them on without having to ruin it.
After blankly sitting in front of the mirror for a couple of minutes, one of the maids came into the room to inform her that dinner was ready.
"Young lady, Madame has asked me to inform you to have dinner with her downstairs."
"Alright, thank you. Please lead the way." Young-mi replied and stood up from the chair, then followed the maid downstairs to a large dinning hall.
Although the dining hall was indeed very large, it was the smallest one in the mansion reserved for family or small group use only.
When Young-mi arrived there with the maid, Young-hee was already there sitting on one end of the long rectangular dining table. The food was yet to be served as the table was still white, empty.
"What are you still standing there for? Please sit." Young-hee instructed.
"Yes…mother." Young-mi quickly replied and sat on a vacant seat on the opposite end of Young-hee.
After sitting down, the servants momentarily brought in the dishes and cutleries. The dishes were put on either end of the table where the two can reach for, and both sides had identical food and quantity. The dishes were all well organised for presentation and taste.
Young-mi scanned the dishes on the table and recognised that they were all Korean. Some of them were extremely familiar as she was able to successfully replicate it in the murim, however, she was only able to replicate some korean dishes since the selection of ingredients were very limited. She managed to use alternative ingredients from the otherworld to replicate the same flavours, but most of them ended in failure.
When she was finally able to return back to South Korea, she was only able to eat light dieted food at the hospital such as jelly or mash potatoes. Young-mi found herself interested in some of the dishes in front of her that she hasn't tasted or seen for a long time. But before that, she must wait for her senior and boss, Young-hee to start first; this was the same back in murim and she remembered that it also applied back in South Korea.
After the servant finished laying out of the dishes and left the room, Young-hee finally spoke and said, "There's no need to be shy, please dig in."
"Y-Yes." Young-mi shattered a little; she was too mesmerised in the dishes in front of her. A dumb mistake that she hasn't made in a long time, something that could have easily costed her life in the murim.
Despite being told that she could eat, she still waited for the other one to start first and only then did she use the chopsticks to reach out the food in front of her.
After grasping a roasted pork belly onto her chopsticks, she took her first bite and instantly the flavours melted in her mouth. It was the first time for a long time to taste as good as this, the roasted pork belly has reminded her of many memories despite only having it once in her lifetime as an orphan.
Before she even realised it herself, she had already started eating another piece, and another piece. Of course, she also tried the other varieties of food on the table, and all of them tasted just as good!
She had long forgotten how long it has been since the last time she had such a fulfilling meal. Never had she thought, she could experience such a thing again; she had pretty much tried all of the food in murim, even going as far as using poison to stimulate the burning sensation of peppers.
Looking at Young-mi eating her food, Young-hee couldn't help but lightly chuckled; it reminded her of a happy scene that she had with someone a long time ago.
However, as much as she enjoys watching Young-mi eating, she must warn her, "There is no need to rush; also the doctor told me that you haven't had proper food for over a week, it wouldn't be advisable to eat so much all at once."
"Eat more vegetables and salad instead." She added,
Young-hee's sudden remark brought Young-mi back to her usual stiff self, she quickly stopped and replied, "Yes."
'I did it again, how can I be so careless' Young-hee thought to herself, she still couldn't believe she had made such a blunder mistake twice in a row.
However, looking at the food in front of her, she unconsciously held a small pout on her face and thought, 'What a waste...'
While elegantly taking a sip from her wine glass, she almost chuckled again when seeing Young-mi's pouted face, 'One or two more shouldn't be a problem right?... No, I shouldn't just give in like that, the doctor said that we should start on a light diet but I have already compromised with the food...'
