Toadley

When Anna completes her test to become an assassin, she is assigned to a mission. Her goal is to be the next greatest assassin and to retrieve four daggers, however, there is someone or something that wants to take over Shylynn. Something that wants the four daggers of Shylynn, something that wants to kill.

The Assassin and The Four Daggers

The cave was dark, and kind of damp. The walls were a dark blue. They walked a little ways only to find a dagger stuck in a rock, no multiple daggers in different rocks. Anna pulls one out and it turns to dust.


"Um...how do we know which one is real?" asked Anna. Esmia points to Anna's pocket.


"The dagger of secrets, use it," She said.


"Do I just-" The moment Anna placed it the air, all the rocks disappeared except one, leaving one dagger left to grab. Betty walks up to it and pulls it out. The dagger had a black handle with an eye symbol on it. Betty hands it to Anna.


"It's the dagger of the mind," said Betty smoothly. They exit the cave and head to Betty's car.


"We only need one more dagger. It must be in Crystalline Mountain," said Anna after they started to head down the mountain. Esmia expression started to go stone cold.


"My old home..." She said bitterly. She looks out the window.


"I can drive you there," said Betty. Anna nods.


"Um, can I ask you something, Betty?" asked Anna.


"Back at the dungeon in the Badlands of Roselia..I said you looked like someone from a dream I had," said Anna.


"Go on," said Betty. Esmia was still looking out the window, but she seemed curious.


"You said that '"Fate works in mysterious ways, doesn't it?"' You smiled after you said that...What does it mean?" asked Anna. Betty smiled.


"I can communicate with people through dreams. I found you dreaming about Lasserin. Well, actually I was trying to warn you about him..," said Betty.


"You...you caused me to dream about him," said Anna. Betty nodded. Esmia remained silent, but she was now looking at Betty, with a suspicious look.
