Chapter 33 Air assault

Broom, boom*

Soon the entire city was bombed by the airplanes. Fires and bombs were everywhere to prove their fatality. Although the city wasn't fully free, they managed to get rid of almost whopping 70 percent of enemies due to the new radar which was made by both Arthur and Robert Watson-Watt. This new radar had terrifying range and accuracy to pinpoint any moving beings on their screen.

The airbases were mostly equipped with this radar despite the funding problems. This radar could function even though there was an emp explosion near the base thanks to its unique isolation mechanism and materials which were mostly composed of carbon. Moreover, this radar had a generator for its power supply. Therefore, it is still usable in the worst-case scenario. That's why the government built this radar all over the country despite the fact that it was expensive as it gets bigger.

Additionally, Arthur and professor Watt made a miniature version that could be used in the warfare weapons like armored vehicles and fighter jets.

The Soviet commander who received the news over the telegram was furious when he heard his force couldn't take Princeton down. He thought it was a simple city where it doesn't have that much defense power.

He gritted his teeth and picked up his radio to order his men. His voice was deep and dark.

" Why didn't you scout the area first? Why the hell is there an airbase near the city? Who was the culprit behind this?"

The officer fell into silence because the culprit was his cousin. He hung his head down and said with a quiet tone.

" It is Colonel Sergey. He was the leader of this sting operation."

The general glared at him with anger. He hit his table to show his might.

Bang*

The officers looked at him with fear. They knew their commander wasn't a person to be trifled.

" You tell me that he didn't consider there was resistance in this area? Where did his brain go? He should have taken an armored unit squad with them. No artillery, no vehicles, and no tanks. He knew there was no air support yet he attacked the city?"

The officer almost collapsed down due to the immense pressure. It was no joke that he was in the same boat as his cousin.

He knelt and begged.

" Sir, please forgive me. We were sure that there was no noteworthy force in the city."

The general rubbed his temple with stress. He looked at him one last time as he picked up his phone.

" Send physic units with armored units and report this to the prime minister. We might need a little reinforcement according to the report. Also, analyze the equipment which we got confiscated before. I want their radar technology analysis on my table by the end of tomorrow."

The officer saluted and went out of his room. He was thankful that the general didn't kill him.

As for general, he was looking at the report with a serious look. He knew that something was going under this simple city.

" Who would have thought that this city would resist more than metropolitan cities..."

Back to the American side

General Ben was happy to receive the report. His initial plan had succeeded without any unnecessary problems on the hand.

He wiped his forehead with a handkerchief and summoned the guard.

" Call other generals to convoy this report. Our hope is still here. We can win this war. Ah, what about allied countries?"

The officer took out the report which was recorded recently.

" France and Britain are still battling against their troops. German and Italy have failed to stop their invasion. Also, we don't have any information regarding Asia."

General Ben creased his eyebrows. His face was filled with helplessness and regret. If they hadn't been invaded by the Soviets, the United States would have sent their reinforcement troops, but it was impossible to do for now. They still had to free their country and retake their capital.

General Ben placed his arms on the desk. He sighed.

" Contact Admiral Easton. Tell his fleet to head to the gulf of Mexico. We will have a decisive battle with the Soviets there."

The officer saluted and left the room.
