Chapter 66 He is coming

Thanos mercilessly hit Arthur and Tomy with the power of the stones. Red, purple, blue, and orange energies enveloped his fists as he slammed his fist down.

Arthur stood before Tony to protect him. His body was oozing with blood as his eyes were shut.

" You have my respect, Arthur Frost, but this is the end."

Thanos said, trying to finish the job. He wasn't stupid enough to save his biggest enemy's life. He knew Arthur and Tony were the last hope of the heroes because they could stop him.

" Please stop!"

Strange appeared next to him while holding his hand. He was begging mercy for the heroes who should be their last pieces.

" You know the price, sorcerer. Give me the stone and I shall give you the reward that you seek."

Thanos spoke, halting his movement in the middle of the attack. He thought it was worth getting the stone since he couldn't grasp where it was. Besides, the time stone was special, so he had to bend his rules a little bit for it.

Swoosh*

A green light appeared on Strange's hand as he handed the stone to him. Thanos's face was filled with delight because he got what he wished for.

" Finally, all that is left is the last stone. Then, my goal will be fulfilled."

Thanos said, inserting the stone into his gauntlet. He could feel the time power running through his body as he clenched his fists with excitement. He looked at Arthur and Tony with a smile.

" You will understand my world soon."

He said, teleporting to the last battlefield.

On Earth

Heroes were preparing for the upcoming battle. Leaders of alliance stood before the great gates of the city with their full gear. An angel, a devil, and a fallen angel were flying in the air with dragons and robots. All of them were excluding powerful energies as they anticipated the upcoming battle.

Steve, Charles, and Black Bolt were leading the ground army with Anduin, Chris, Orgrim, and Illidan. The heroes, mutants, Inhumans, orcs, warriors, and elves were staying in the formation with serious expressions. Various biological chimeras were placed in the gaps to strengthen their overall formation.

T'challa took off his helmet to breathe the air before the battle.

" How is the progress going?"

He asked, showing his worry. He proposed Wakanda would be the battleground since they had superior barriers and technology, but Steve denied his idea since Wakanda had civilians too.

" Around 70 percent. If we can hold on until then, we can wait for him."

Steve spoke while activating the energy shield. An iconic star appeared on the shield with the familiar blue and red stripes.

Charles nodded with approval. He used his power to relay the news to the alliance.

" We will strike them as soon as they appear. They won't be able to pierce through our Frontline."

A robot with the face of a woman said coldly while looking at the sky. As a military artificial intelligence, Skynet was confident about its overall battle strength and strategy. She knew their forces were enough to wipe out any major space legion without any problem except for the strategic weapons.

Duum*

The sound of an engine traveled through the city. The heroes raised their heads and saw the giant fleet of ships that were coming to the battle.

" All angels, attack!"

Gabriel commanded her units to attack as well Sir Zechs and Azazel joined the prey. Dragons roared and bright light of destruction aimed at the ships.

The canons were firing relentlessly as the ships turned into flaming balls, but some of the ships managed to hold on until they reach the ground while some of them fired at them. The war has begun with the confrontation of the aerial forces.

" Fire at will!"

Pierce commanded the pulse canons to rip the enemy line. Various monsters sprung out from the rummage to join the battle.

" Let's smoke these motherfuckers!"

Frank fired his rifle with a cold look. His bullets lit up the battlefield along with other bullets from the robots. They marched to the field first to tear the enemy line down.

Tyrande raised her bow and shot from behind the elves.

" Don't leave them alive!"

She shouted with a valiant look as the elves followed her command.
