Chapter 79 You are failures

The whole world mourned when Arthur died protecting them against Thanos. They had lost 4 billion people with half of the loving beings. The ecology of the world shifted in a different direction as the order collapsed.

Light*

The crying girl lit up a lamp in front of the picture. It was a picture of a knight holding a sword. He was stepping on the rose petals and waving at the people.

" Mommy, when will daddy and the future knight come back?"

The girl asked, counting the days when her dad and Arthur had disappeared into nothing. A week had passed since the incident and people couldn't believe what was happening. There were countless accidents, destruction, and explosion due to the sudden loss of its operators. The heroes couldn't mourn as they were deployed to the world's various parts.

" They will come back, someday. Your daddy will bring back your favorite chocolate ice cream and the knight will save the people again."

The mom said, hiding her tears with her sadness. She understood the harsh truth of their loss because she was an adult. The turbulent waves were still coming to their new life without their guardians.

In Eden's highest building.

Thor was standing while looking down at the rebuilding of the city. Once the glorious city had lost almost half of its buildings and the death of Arthur had impacted the various fields of the city.

He clenched his fists with anger, thinking about his failure. He always dreamed about Arthur's death recently and he couldn't sleep at all. The thoughts of guilt were tormenting him to death.

" You look sick, brother. At least eat something."

Loki said, knocking on the door with his black suit. His injury had been recovered thanks to the technology of the city and he had regained his former healthy look. However, there were giant dark circles under his eyes due to the stress. He was managing the new Asgard without Thor and Hela's help recently.

" You should rest, Loki. You don't look well. Where is sister?"

Thor said while looking at his face. He was embarrassed when he heard that from Loki.

Loki sighed while chanting his spell. He showed the image of a cold woman who was sitting at her home. She was weaving a shirt for her child that she received from Arthur.

" She isn't in a right mind after his death. It is best to avoid her now. Besides, I heard Kyle was searching for his trace. He seemed to have found some clue regarding his location. Maybe, we can revive him."

Loki spoke, igniting the flame of hope in Thor's chest. Thor immediately grabbed his axe and dragged Loki to the headquarters of the city.

In the headquarters of Eden.

The leaders of the various factions were reporting their current situations. Things weren't looking that good due to the disruption of the chain of logistics. As the leader of the city, Kyle was leading them in absence of Arthur.

Bang*

Suddenly, the conference room door was kicked down by Thor. The heroes raised their heads and directed their gazes toward the figures of the Asgardian royal brothers.

" Uncle Thor, what is the meaning of this? We are currently in midst of an important session."

Kyle said softly while keeping his image. He knew the temperament of the infamous brothers wasn't that good since one of them liked fighting and one of them was nasty.

" I heard you had a lead on Thanos."

Thor spoke loudly, attracting the attention of other heroes. The heroes put down their tasks and looked at Kyle with puzzlement since he was the leader. Kyle didn't change his expression as he put the files on the desk.

" I have found him and I was going to inform you. We will be departing in two days."

Kyle threw a map toward him. The data appeared before Thor as he saw the lush planet where Thanos was residing. He saw the humble house and green fields that were growing peacefully.

Rumble*

The thunder appeared in his eyes. He felt anger surging in his mind as he saw his peaceful look of him.

" How dare he!"

He almost smashed the table into pieces. The other heroes also showed signs of anger. The room was filled with a thick aura of destruction.

" Calm down. We need to get the stones, not his head. Our objective is to restore the universe and bring back our leader."

Kyle said with shining eyes. He singlehandedly suppressed the room with his mana.
