" The world needs peace, Magnus. Mutants and villains are creating chaos among normal folks and I gave them the chance to turn that around. Everyone can be happy."
Hearing his words made Magneto burst out with laughter as he looked at him with a cold face.
" You and I know that is a lie. Even if you don't discriminate against the mutants, your people will be willing to do so. How much blood do we have to spill? Do you think Arthur and Charles can cover you forever in this small world?"
The guards drew their pistols when they heard his words but the president signaled them to calm down.
" I know, Magnus. However, this is for the greater good."
He whispered softly while closing his eyes with pain. During his stay in his office, he saw countless things that included horrifying images of experiments, suicides, kills, etc.
Most of them came from either superhumans who tried to be normal or humans who befriended superhumans. The cycle of curse plagued this world but there was nothing he could do.
" I expected something good from you, Mister President. Clearly, I was wrong. I don't understand why Charles believed you in the first place. You are like all of them."
Magneto turned around to leave the room as he floated before them. Obviously, he wasn't tolerating this any further because the human leader gave up on them for their selfish reasons.
" I hope we won't meet up on the battlefield, Magnus."
The president spoke in a remorseful manner despite his stance. As an individual, he didn't want to shed any more blood among the people and superhumans.
Meanwhile in London
Peter held the broken helmet of Mysterio in his hands, sitting on London Bridge with a deep guilt. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't forget the face of Mysterio who fell to his death.
Swoosh*
Suddenly, a figure appeared before two cones of ice cream.
" You look lonely, Peter. So, tell me. What did you do this time?"
Arthur feigned ignorance when he saw the helmet because he understood Peter had to unload his burden himself. He couldn't force someone to be open to himself.
" Mister Frost, I failed you and Mister Stark. I killed someone with my bare hands. I could have saved him but I couldn't do that. I should have been quicker."
Peter took off his mask as tears dripped down from his face since he was just a young adult in the end. He hadn't experienced deaths and kills like other heroes who were hailed as the first generation.
" You see, life is a choice for most people but when it comes to superheroes like us, we don't have much say. Even if we want good for our enemies, if they aren't willing to accept it, we can't do anything. Peter, you are still too young to experience such things. Unlike you, I have killed many people and beings for the greater good, but do I regret it? Maybe I could do better but it is in the past. All we have to do is accept our mistake and never repeat it. The great power comes with great responsibility, Peter. Hence, don't blame yourself. Be better and be strong."
Arthur handed him his ice cream as he reminisced his past when he killed many people, but he saved far more than his kill count.
He wasn't an angel like people said, instead he was a champion and a hero who saw his failure. Thus, he knew Peter's pain because he and other heroes felt this pain during their careers as heroes.
" Great power comes with great responsibility."
Peter muttered slowly under his breath, looking at the helmet with a deep thought. It was time to move again.
In somewhere near Nebraska
A giant robot loomed over X men members whose faces were filled with confusion and horror.
" What kind of sick joke is this?"
Logan couldn't process what was happening to them because they were chasing Stryker a minute ago, yet this giant robot appeared from nowhere and hindered them.
" Is this one of Stark's toys or is it from mechanic race?"
Scott was also confused by this giant robot.
