Chapter 63 Olympus

" The gods are being slaughtered by the butcher. I need Olympus to step up as a leading pantheon and help me to fight him.

Asgard can't take this toll alone."

Zeus burst out with laughter, tapping on his armrest while looking at him with a calm face. To him other gods didn't matter that much except his people and this planet, so asking for help was too much of a stretch.

" Your father used to protect his realm alone. Do you think I will lend you a hand just because you are a prince of Asgard and a friend of my son?

Do you think God Butcher wouldn't aim for my people when I am looking for him through the vast universe?

Who would protect my people then? Asgard? Your real died with your father. Your sister is the reason for other pantheons aren't attacking your home."

Zeus's harsh words hit Thor like a hammer, making him realize how tiny he became in the end. Surely he was a mighty God who could fight the most powerful beings but he was alone in the end without his parents' guidance.

" I used to respect you, Zeus. They say you are one of the few who could battle against my father but I was wrong. You may be the kindest ruler to your people but you are no Odin.

You lack the compassion of my father. You are a selfish God who would only care for Olympus."

Zeus snorted his words, throwing a thunder next to his feet. The sheer force of his might blew his cape away, leaving his armor intact with his axe.

" Leave, prince of Asgard. Consider this as a respect for your late father. You are lucky that I am in a good mood today.

Otherwise, I would have fed you to vultures for your overbearing words."

The hall echoed with his thunderous voice as Thor left the hall. Zeus rubbed his temple with stress, sighing with a serious face unlike before.

" You should have told your intentions to help him, Zeus. He will think of Olympain gods as selfish beings."

Hera came out from behind, handing him a cup of drink that alleviated his headache.

" He is too young for a ruler, Hera. He resembles Odin and Frigga in some way but he lacked their wisdom and straightforward attitude.

Perhaps his siblings have those elements. You know Olympus can't be careless at this time. The seal of the dark king is wearing down and the great time of Chaos is approaching.

Ragnarok was the only beginning of the twilight of the gods."

Zeus couldn't hide his worry about upcoming events that would shatter reality and this universe. As a guardian of Olympus, he had to fight against countless primordial beings and he didn't want to do it again after aging.

Although he was just as powerful as his prime days, he couldn't guarantee what was waiting for him.

" Then send Hercules to Earth. He has might and wisdom. He lacks the experience to hold your spear."

Zeus fell into contemplation while thinking about his son who was just as he was in his young adulthood. He had more potential than anyone in Olympus and was extremely loyal to him.

" But I fear that mortals might trick him with their treacherous mouth. If someone like Hercules helps the wrong people, the foundation of the world will be shaken unless..."

Zeus tapped on his armrest, summoning his most trustworthy child to his hall.

" Mother, Father. I have come with Hercules."

Artemis knelt in front of them, holding her bow in her hands with Hercules who stood tall without kneeling. She tried to pull his knee to make him kneel but the stubborn bastard refused to move.

" My children, I have a task for you. I want you to go to Earth and raise our reputation. The era of gods is coming to the human realm once again after Poseidon closed our gate.

We must show our might and generosity to the mortals. Also, I want you to track down the butcher who killed our kin. Make him kneel before me."

Hercules without hesitation nodded to his father, showing his respect by pulling out his weapon.

" Father, mother, I shall bring his head to you with sister."

His calm voice left the image of light in the room.
