Chapter 10

I woke up with a heavy thing on my chest. When I looked down, I found Kai's sleeping face. I can't leave him, he won't calm down unless I hold him. I have no choice but to let him sleep with me. He was hugging me so tight, while he was holding my hands, which made me smile. He looked like an innocent child.

"I guess you also have your fair share of painful experience. Then I guess I should be good to you too" I whispered as I look at his sleeping face.

Maybe that's the reason that he's so clinging and annoying.

I slowly tried to remove myself from his hug, avoiding to wake him up, but I failed. I was about to move an inch when he held me even tighter. Then he slowly opened his eyes.

"This is nice" he said with a hoarse voice. Then he carefully caress my face.

"What is nice?" I asked him

"This. Waking up with you by my side, and seeing you the moment I open my eyes." He said and hugged me and made himself comfortable on my chest. "Can we stay like this for awhile, please?" he said

"It's already late in the morning" I said,  but I did not try to push him away. I know he's like me, he needs someone too.

"It's fine. Besides, today is Saturday" he said.

Since it's very impossible to free myself from him, I made myself comfortable, and lie silently. We were both quiet when I asked him.

"What happened to your past?" he immediately looked up at me when I asked that.

"Nothing.." he plainly replied.

"Really? You were having a panic attack, and you won't calm down even in your sleep, unless I hold you" I said

"Well, maybe it's just me, trying to get your attention" he said

"Stop it! It won't work on me." I said. He buried his face under my neck, which sends thrills down to my spine. I can feel him breathing on my neck.

"Can we please not talk about that? It's just a painful history" he replied.

His hurt, and his still hurting. I can sense that.

"Fine, let's not talk about it." I said.

"Please don't do it again" he again said

"Do what?" I asked as I caress his smooth hair.

"Don't hurt yourself again" I paused and look at him when he said that. I bit my lower lip to stop myself from remembering it. "You scared me. I thought I would lose you" he added.

I thought I would lose myself too. If he didn't call, I might have let myself die that night.

"Let's not talk about that, or anything painful for now. Let's just go back to sleep" I suggested to avoid further conversation.

I woke up when I heard a voice called me. I opened my eyes, and found Kai's smiling face.

"You've slept longer than me" he said.

"What time is it?" I asked as I stretched my entire body.

"Eleven thirty. Time for lunch" he replied. I stood up and went outside my room.

"Then why are you still here?" I said as I made my way to the kitchen.

"Can I stay with you for the entire day?" he asked.

"No. I already let you stay long enough, now leave" I said

"Aw? You're kicking me out? But I.." I looked at the freshly cooked meal on my table. He already made breakfast.

"..Made breakfast" he said and smiled at me widely.

I close my eyes tightly and heave a deep sigh.

"Fine, you're staying" I replied and sat on the table. He just sat across me and we started eating.

"So what should we do today?" he asked me

"I don't know. I usually don't have any plan during weekends" I replied

"Then can you come with me?" he asked again

"Where?" I asked back

"Somewhere that will keep you busy all day. I'll head home first, then I'll be back after twenty minutes to fetch you." He said before he stood up and leave.  This idiot, I didn't even say yes.

Like he said, he was back exactly after twenty minutes. When I realized what he said about keeping me busy, I didn't know he meant, amusement park.

"What is this?" I asked as I gave him a weird look.

"Amusement park!" he cheerfully replied.

" I know what this is, idiot! Why are we here? Are we some kind of kids?" I irritatingly said

" Maybe, or we can also be a couple on a date" he said as he cling himself onto me.

I closed my eyes trying to calm myself. Remember that he also needs attention.

" Stop it! Can we just go inside?" I said

" I knew you'd love it" he said as he confidently walk inside.

We tried all of the rides. I admit, it was fun, though it's a bit new to me. I used to be the one who takes care, not the one to be taken care of. I should be missing Annie right now, since it's her favorite place to date, but surprisingly I didn't. Maybe it's because of this idiot's effort and energy .

"Let's have a rest first. Wait me here, I'm going to buy something to eat" he said as he left me on a bench.

I was scrolling through my phone when someone called my name, and it's the voice that I'm still not ready to hear yet. I looked at her, and I honestly can't find my voice to reply to her. It was Annie, and she's with her boyfriend. Sometimes I hate how the timing plays.

"Levi, how are you?" she asked as she looked at me.

"I'm fine" I replied

"I see. It's good that you're now able to go some places." She said

That's when I realized what she said. Ever since my mother died, I never go out. It's like I want to stay alone and feel how painful it was to lose my mom.

"Are you alone? You can join us" I looked at her boyfriend when he said that. He has a smirk look on his face.

"I'm afraid he can't." I flinched when I heard his voice. "He has to hang out with me" he said and then smiled at me.

"Y-Yeah. We already have plans for tonight" I said

"Kevin?" Kai said. He know this guy? " I see, you still want to jump from one girl to another" he added

That Kevin guy looked at Kai intently before he looked at Annie.

"Let's leave" he said and dragged Annie before she could even answer.

"I think we should leave too. Let's have dinner at the beach. It's not that far from here" he said and pulled me.

When he said that we're going to eat at the beach, I didn't know, he meant a private dinner setting at the beach. It's as if he's on a date with his girlfriend.

"What's with all of this stuff?" I asked him

"Why? You don't like it? I've immediately made a reservation for it, when you said that I can stay with you" he said making a sad face.

"What are we? A couple?" I asked as I sat and watch the night sky. The sounds of the waves are what is making it more calming and peaceful.

"Well, we could be that, if only you want to" he said. I just ignore him and didn't pay any attention on the idiot sitting across me.

I flinched when a hand holds mine. When I looked at Kai, he's seriously looking at me, as if he's trying to tell me something important.

"W-What?" I asked as I was so anxious about his eyes on me.

"Share your life to me" he said that, which made me speechless.
