Chapter - 4

The Cepher Cohen case was the topic of discussion for the week, news channels and private media criticizers discussed it again and again over the week. The starting hype increased the Unvoiced Stories subscriptions by a small percentage. Clyde received many calls and messages of praise and criticisms over the week and he was on the verge of extreme popularity. He couldn't understand the situation at first, and then he recognized the psychic joy and satisfaction that common man gets when he sees the rich and powerful fall. And so he learned it, what his readers wanted. Deborah Carlton, also known as Mrs. Reuben Andrews, ran an independent group of enterprises even though the best business man in town was her husband. She had enterprises that shared no common interests to Reuben's company's areas of interest. Without partiality and ego, they had helped each other in growing their enterprises and also leading a healthy relationship. Among her institutions she also had a hospital with a basic setting set up for the general public. Laura, Clyde's wife, was a nurse in the same hospital. On the day Cepher was arrested, Deborah was talking over the phone to Reuben in the hospital canteen; Laura also was at the same table having a cup of coffee. When she was finished with the call, she turned to drink her coffee and breakfast while also commented:

“Fuckin‟ paparazzi, how dare they?” Seeing she had company, she voiced it louder enough for Laura to hear. Laura smiled and continued on with her coffee; Deborah smiled and went back to her croissant and coffee.

Next Friday Clyde was at his office desk, trying to get something for his next edition. He remembered what he had just learned, what his readers wanted. He quickly went home and opened his spy-cam software in his device; he had almost ten spy-cams already in working. He viewed each of them, trying to get something. It's then he saw it; the police HQ cam. He quickly screen-recorded it and copied the video file to his personal pen-drive. The following Sunday's Unvoiced Stories’ headlines read:

WHEN SLUSH FUNDS REACH EVEN THE TOP TABLES

Berlin: Polizeihauptmeister Axel Andrews was caught in the act of bribery and exposed by unknown sources today morning on social media. The video footage, the sole evidence to the whole act was let out by unknown sources on social media platforms. By this very incident, the dark side of the law and order system has been unveiled. Two other Polizeimeisters who were also present at the scene have been taken into custody along with Axel for detailed interrogation and remand. The man who had offered the money is missing and the police are still in pursuit to find him as he is also equally guilty. -Clyde Stewart

Clyde could see Axel's face red with anger, and he knew that the only person Axel was angry with now was the reporter who reported this case first and made a massive circulation, without a doubt it was, Clyde himself. When Axel was walking through the court corridor handcuffed, Clyde stood in the same way watching. Axel stopped near Clyde, gave him a vague smile and walked away. The onlookers stared at Clyde until he exited the area. He knew real journalism would get him a lot of enemies, but his priority was already set and he had a target to achieve; so he started making plans; and an idea crossed his mind. He hummed to himself as he drove:
