Chapter Eighty Two

The next morning I wake up to see mom and dad walk in from the door.

That's odd.

"Where's grandma and grandpa? I just assumed you went somewhere yesterday night with them."

"No...we didn't." Dad says, looking at Evelyn and Evan. Evan simply rubs his arms and bites his lip as Evelyn's eyes go wide.

"Did you two forget to tell her?" Mom demands and their silence is enough for an answer.

"Tell me what?" I ask annoyed that I was left out.

"Grandma and grandpa had to leave. Your aunt is having her baby." Dad says. Dad's younger sister, Janet has been trying for a baby for years. She was so happy to tell us that she was pregnant a few months ago, and now she's having her baby.

"We should go see it soon." I say.

"We should go see him." Dad corrects me.

It's a boy. Awe.

"She told me she'd send pictures as soon as she got the chance." Mom adds.
