All Falls Down

I woke up feeling nauseated. This hangover is messing with my head. I rushed towards the bathroom. I gargled to reduce the reek of alcohol. "God, I looked awful," I muttered as I've seen my reflection.

I'm trying to remember how I was able to go home. Flashes of embarrassing images appeared. I tossed my hair and raised an eyebrow. "At least, I'm still beautiful despite my drunkenness."

I've remembered myself assisted by the hoodie man. He asked for my phone to call someone. I said no, and gave him my address in this penthouse. He obliged. I can handle myself in case of an emergency. I still have my poisonous needles hidden from these stylish clips.

I was awakened from the reverie when the bell rang. I glanced at the monitor and it was Chua holding some flowers. He looks so fine, even with pink carnations on his hands.

I checked myself again. I'm rocking these blue nighties. I didn't bother wearing a bra. As if he hadn't seen some boobs. He just fucked someone last night.

I calmed myself before opening the door. "Hi babe, good morning! " Chua greeted. I flashed a welcoming smile. "Good Morning, too." I opened the door widely. He smiled and went inside.

"Take a seat, what do you want? A tea, juice, water, some biscuits?" He just shook his head. "Nah, I rushed here because I want to make it up to you. I was too busy last night, I can't eat Ramen with you." I settled down across him. I cleared my throat and bravely asked him. "Where were you last night?"

His crooked smile faded. "Why are you asking?" It was replaced by a serious face. "I asked first." I stared at him with cold eyes. 'Answer it, babe. Before I scratch these beautiful nails on your clear skin.' He shifted under my gaze. "I told you, I was with my friends." I chuckled.

"I thought you're gonna introduce me to them?" I said pretending to be nonchalant. 'He could've introduced me to the girl he's fucking last night.' His lips formed into a thin line. "I said, I will, soon. Babe, what is this?" I sighed. 'So, he's playing dumb.'

I crossed my legs and straightened my posture. "My friend saw you with some girl, last night." He looks confused. "I can't understand, you're suspecting me? What are you trying to imply?" I smiled. "Nothing, perhaps, I want a more concrete explanation?"

He let out a frustrated sigh. "You know what, it is me who should question you!" I raised an eyebrow. "You are reeking of alcohol, did you drink?" I closed my eyes for a moment contemplating. 'Now, he's changing the topic.' I look at him dead in the eyes with my most fake but convincingly innocent face. "Chua, my dear. I was asking for your explanation. Don't change the topic."

He looks so pissed. "I can't understand you, Hime. Did you really think that I've recovered from what I just that night?" He covered his face with his hands. 'Now, it's all about me.' I merely scoffed but my patience is running out for this son of bitch. "It's my girlfriend instinct to protect her man!" I can't help but raise my voice.

"Oh really? Then why are you the one there? Shouldn't that be police handle those kinds of things?" I remained speechless, staring right at him. 'I can just tell him that we're higher than those authorities.' It took me a moment before replying due to my scattered thoughts. "Because I insist. I can't just sit here and relax."

"You know what, let's take a break. We need to calm ourselves, we're both too mad right now." I crossed my arms and both my eyebrow rose heavenwards. 'I can't believe the audacity of this man to complain.' I closed my eyes trying so hard to calm myself from the raging anger burning inside me. "You're asking for cool off? Fine!" He was about to walk out, but, I stopped him. "Take these with you, I hate carnations." I walked towards the kitchen.

After a few seconds, I heard a loud bang. He aggressively closed the door. "He's fucking sick," I grunted. I pour some tea and took a sip.

I heard a familiar ringtone, so I went inside my room to get my business phone. "Hello?" I need to be formal, I can't just pour my indignation on someone. "Miss Dela Vega! Good morning, hija." I rolled my eyes. "What is it, Lucio?"

He chuckled. "I just want to commend how professional your employees are." I put the phone in speaker mode 'Tch, of course, I don't want toxic ones.' a sly smirk played on my face. "Lucio, do you think I'll shelter some decomposers?" He laughed joyfully. "Of course not, you're a Dela Vega."

"Is that all?" I blatantly replied. 'I seriously want to be alone.' I can hear him controlling his chuckle. "Nope, I call because I want to share some quotes with you." I massaged my temple. 'This old hag is really weird.' I let out an irritated sigh. "Just spill them, so we'll get through this in instant."

"You may shelter a snake to become a kitten, but you can't force the kitten to behave like a snake." My face contorted in confusion. 'What the hell?' I was about to reply but he cut me off even before I begin. "Oh another one, You can lure wild animals to become domestic ones but you can't turn down their predator lust."

"Lucio—"

"Snakes are snakes, animals remain as animals." with that, he ended the call.

I tried to call him again, but his line was busy. I throw my phone and it landed on my bed. "Damn this day!" I woke up with my throbbing head, confronted my stupid ex, and now Lucio's riddles. I consider Chua as my ex now. He's an asshole in disguise.

I jumped in surprise when I found Anne is running towards me. "Bitch!" She looks frantic and annoyed at the same time. She welcomed me with a slap. "I heard what happened!"

"The fuck, Anne? Why did you slap me?"

"It's because I, well—we've told you so!" Gloria answered. I eyed her sharply. "Not enough reason to slap me." then landed on Anne's. "You didn't tell me you're getting bombed, last night!" I rolled my eyes. 'Yeah Right, Slovavich.' I crossed my arms and eyed her suspiciously. "Yeah, you think Leo will allow you?"

She hissed. "We're still not on good terms. He's not staying at Stone village anymore." She exasperatedly sighed. "But, you know what? This is all about yours, so spill it."

Now, it's my turn to sigh. "Chua wants space." She looks smudged. "Wow, And he's the one who had the audacity to suggest a cool-off. What a prick." Anne walked and dropped herself to my bed. "On the second thought, do you wonder why he fucked her last night?"

I raised my eyebrow. "What the hell are you talking about?" She got up and bounced. "I'm thinking, what if he's under the Coven's spell." Gloria joined the conversation. "If he is, how can you explain those photos before the abduction happened?" She got a point too.

"Those pictures were not edited, Hime. I'm the one who took all those pics." Gloria argued. "You caught him kissing in the act?" Anne asked.

"Duh, I've even got his pictures with a group of women. They are naked, what's that supposed to mean?" No one speaks, after that.

"Then, our intuition never failed us. "

Like Anne, I slumped myself on my bed. "Well, It's not like you've never been brokenhearted before." I glared at her. "Even though I've experienced it before, It doesn't mean that it changed, It still hurts." Gloria stood up.

"Among all those flings you had, you've invested too much on Chua's," Gloria stated. 'She's right though, I've expected a lot. And this is what I've got.' I lay there contemplating but was interrupted as Anne stood up. "You know what? Let's just party that away!"

Gloria threw one of my pillows. "Bitch, you ruined my makeup!" I grabbed one too. The pillow landed on Gloria's face. "You want a fight, huh."

The next thing I knew, feathers are floating everywhere. We were trying to hit one another. Anne is the most competitive one. While Gloria ran and stole some pics. I, on the other hand, ruined Anne's hair. She looks pissed. I love how irritated she is.

We played for almost two hours. We stopped when our stomachs growled in hunger. "The last one to get there is the sore loser!" Anne ran first, followed by Gloria. 'They both love to eat but thrifty as fuck. Well, I am too. But, food is an exception to the budget rule. '

I called one of my servants to clean. They came from the DV Mansion because I only trust them than resident housekeepers.

"READY? " I rolled my eyes. "Shut up and get out of your car!" Anne is on the phone. We've all agreed to chill. "Yeah, grumpy bitch." I quickly checked my face. I'm still gorgeous.

I closed the door of my electric blue Lamborghini. I'm wearing a sequined black micro-dress, a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes, and pieces of jewelry from Chanel. My hair was styled into sexy beach waves.

I walked in elegance, Gloria is beside me. While Anne led the way. "Good evening, madam." The bouncers greeted us. "Cut the madam, Hector, and Robert!" They didn't say anything and just opened the door for us.

"The Gemstones are here." I heard Hector uttered. That's the code for the three of us. As soon as we walked inside, they should clear the way. We are the VIPs and Anne was the owner.

The music was too loud. Everyone was in the blast. The other staff assisted us. They made sure that no one will bump into us. The drunken crowd was too wild. They were indeed in booze.

"Make some noise for the owner and the most requested DJ, Ms. Anne Slovavich!" They shouted in delight. "Take over, Queen Bitch!" They're now chanting.

"Hey-ey-ey-ey!"

Anne excused herself. I just nodded and went to the nearest stool. "Sex on the beach." The bartender obliged. I turned around and I saw Anne placing her special headphones.

"Let's spice up your night, everyone! How about some Alan Walker?" Anne loves to remake the best hits. She's into upbeat and some pop songs. If the well-known DJs can make from scratch, Anne loves to add fuel to those hits.

"Here's your drink, ma'am," I uttered thanks, and he's gone. "Is this seat taken?" I heard a familiar voice asks. "Nope, just sit, I don't care." I requested another batch.

"You know what, I never thought a guardian will enjoy herself in a bar." I was frozen mid-drink. I quickly looked at who was the person sitting beside me. "Surprise?" I rolled my eyes and he proceeded to order his drink of choice. 'He's still wearing a goddamn mask.'

I glanced at his outfit which made my eyebrow rose in unbelief. "How did you even get in? in that outfit, I may add." He shrugged "Why? I can wear whatever I like." He's wearing a black tuxedo and a half mask. I noticed a scar on his right cheek running down his neck. "Is it bad?"

Thousand of questions flooded my mind but was interrupted by him. "What are you talking about?" Knight sighed. "My scarred face. I know, it looked bad." He gestured towards the bartender. "Another one."

"Why are you here, anyway?"

"Masama bang maliwaliw, paminsan- minsan?"

"No, it's odd to see you here." I shrugged nonchalantly. 'He's really formal. He behaves like he's in the thirties. Oh, I bet he is in the thirties.' I turned my attention back to my drink. "Sometimes I feel lonely while viewing everything from the top." I chuckled. 'Now, here's his ecclesiastical words.'

"And here I am drinking till my heart won't ache." His gaze flew towards me. "You're broken-hearted? Interesting, tell me about it." I want to slap my mouth. 'Stupid, I've voiced it out. It's supposed to be a thought! '

"It's not your damn business. What do you know about love?" I said in mockery. "You don't know me well, Dela Vega. You wouldn't know, what if I have experienced so much more than you?" my eyebrows creased.

"And why would I even care in your love life?" I scoffed before I took a sip from my drink. 'I know I sounded like a bitch. But, I can't help it. I don't want to talk about it. It's like someone's putting salt to my wounds. They still sting, no matter how many times you're wounded.' He let out a sigh of defeat. "Okay, you're still grumpy, I get it. But, let me tell you something about love."

I rolled my eyes. I choose to focus on my drink. 'Oasis mixtures are, indeed, a bomb.' I played with my drink for some time. "Love, it's always 50/50. Fifty percent pain," I didn't listen. "Fifty percent pleasure." He whispered the last words. His warm voice lingered in my left ear.

I was about to slap him when I notice he was gone.

{You're the drug that I'm addicted to, and I want you so bad... But I'll be fine}

The music gets loud. Alan Walker's All falls down was blasting on the gigantic speakers. I turned towards the bartender and signaled him.

"Give me the hardest drink."
