A cloak landed on her shoulders, making her look up. Darius was behind her.

"How long have you been here?" She smiled up at him and hugged the cloak to her chest.

"For as long as you've been watching Elifur's disappearance." He sat down next to her. She had not realized it but it had been quite long. The sun had long set and her legs felt numb. She tried to stand up and Darius helped her, holding her until she could steady herself.

"He's gone." She swallowed. She didn't know why but the fact that he was gone didn't make her happy at all. It was almost as if she was losing someone close to her.

"He is." He held her by the waist. It was rare for any immortal to die, let alone two at the same time. However, it had taken him a while to know why she was suddenly so attached to Elifur.

"He was not sent to the human realm as a demon hunter. Unlike most of Cyrus's children, he was sent here to be your guardian."
