When Delaney said she would think about Darius's request to become the queen of Itrusia, she didn't think she would be wearing a blue ball gown and preparing for her coronation so soon. It felt as if everything had happened in the blink of an eye and she couldn't quite catch up to the pace at which it was unfolding.

He had not given her any time to think, only adding six days to her consideration time when she told him a day was too soon.

What did she need to think about anyway? She loved Itrusia and had always wanted to be a queen. Growing up, she had thought it had to be Ivrasea, her home kingdom, but after hearing Darius's request, she realized being the queen of Ivrasea didn't cross her mind for a while.
